I hate when non-system friends offer to 'help' by keeping an alter from doing something when I say I'm nervous about letting them front somewhere specific, like I'll say "I'm nervous about giving up front to this guy since he might do this thing we don't want him to / is dangerous to us." (Yes the guy knows he's not allowed to do that, he just likes trolling, but we have it COVERED in our system) And then the other person will say something like "It's ok u can let them front I'll stop them / hold them back" and its like... I said I don't want them to front for this reason, I did not ask for your help, my headmate has never met you and probably does not want a stranger telling him OR PHYSICALLY HOLDING HER BACK (that was an offer by friend) from doing something!! That's like overstepping alot, like it's not ur job bro, also like why would we want you to tell any of us what to do? We can communicate that to our alters ourself tyvm. It just pisses me off and low-key makes me nervous cause I don't want to put my headmates in that situation.
It also sucks cause they would not have offered that for the host right? Like if anyone else said 'hey we agreed to stop doing something but host might try to do that' their response would've just been "Oh but it's his body" OH MY GOD.
Oh god we’ve had both these experiences, it’s genuinely the worst
Like, and who’s to say that if we DID let them out and let an irl deal with them, that the irl wouldn’t just make things WORSE??
It very much just feels like they’re trying to play savior
