Highlights from SwingCouver last weekend: • Drawing @seanshiggity for the All-Americanadian and making it to finals! Wee!! • Getting to go to some incredible workshops with @torribabe @maximezza @tatianawcsdance @jordancer98 and @benjischwimmer • Getting to pinch hit and carry a cute baby for an hour while @swingsarah and @seemorekyle taught their workshop • See old friends and eat delicious food (@ali_osb @kristykatnip) •. Great roommates • Making significant progress on our routine with @jameswcs and @hugoandstacydance. // And while I didn’t make finals in the competition that I’d hoped to, I’ve started playing around with the idea that my metric for what constitutes a successful dance event weekend doesn’t have to rely on results out of my control. Taking workshops, creating quality moments with friends, and coming out of the weekend knowing more and having more concepts to chew on, truly is the mark of a feat weekend—competitions aside.
