All that could be heard was the crunching of the snow or splash of a puddle as we hiked through the forest. It was peaceful, calming in the wintertime to take off and go into the outdoors. Our hike was going relatively well on New Year’s eve. My hubby and I have been running a lot at the gym and I think it’s paying off! An 8 km hike and we finished in about 3 hours. Whoop whoop! The three of us and two dogs. It was the best time for it too. Not too cold, but cold enough to keep the ground hard. So no puddles for me to fall in. Yay! Amazement washes over me as I step through the Swedish forest. People that own the forests must maintain it. Meaning take down rotten trees and take care of fallen trees.
