It'd hurt, of course. He's got friends he'll never be able to see again. But the thought of not being with Bella is unbearable.

Should Bella bite him... She probably won't have the same gripes about it if Charlie says he wants to turn. Or would it be out of necessity, like if he's in an accident... Bella, not wanting to lose her father, turns him.
