bea gets way too into all games they play

pez makes friends with literally everyone he meets (he has 200+ contacts that he texts regularly)

croissants are like kryptonite for alex

alex, june, nora, bea, and henry all buy tshirts that say "Okonjo bodyguard" and they like to follow pez around and randomly tackle him as they yell "GET DOWN MR. OKONJO"

henry keeps all his old shoeboxes so he can fill them with little papers and trinkets

pez, alex, and nora all have youtube channels that they regularly post on (nora does play-with-mes mostly, alex does vlogs and political chats, and pez does everything, especially grwm storytimes)

on said youtube channel, alex and bea have a podcast where they talk about books they just read. henry is a regular guest

whenever the paparazzi try to take pics of henry and alex together, pez treats it like a fashion show

when they all go to disney together, bea forces everyone on the frozen ride

on said ride, alex screams on the drop down

Thank you to everyone who's tagged me over the past... weeks? months? Unclear. But here we are. This work started its life as a drabble based on the prompt "snowed in" by @blueeyedgrlwrites but has taken a life of its own and is slowly unfurling into something bigger. I'm chipping away at it so maybe it will be ready in like, July or something.

Without further ado, here is today's tidbit:

“Nora, I seem to remember you suggesting karaoke,” says Pez, turning the movie off.  “Yes! I know Henry said he was bringing tunes, so I found his Spotify playlists–” “My account is locked! It’s set to private!” Henry protests.  Nora ignores him. “–and found which of his songs would be best for karaoke. Then I put together my own playlist using his as inspiration, but these are all the karaoke versions from YouTube.” “What did you choose?” Bea asks, leaning over to peer at Nora’s phone. “Some of the karaoke classics. We have some Bowie, Queen, Whitney, Dolly…” she scrolls through her playlist. “Lesbian icons Joan Jett and Melissa Etheridge. We do not have Journey, because ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ as karaoke is overdone and predictable, and we are not Gleeks.” “Bea, do you want to go first?” Pez suggests, seeing her eyes light up.  “Oh my goodness, YES I do!” Bea exclaims, holding out her hand for Nora’s phone so she can scroll through the list. “Oh, this one. It’s perfect.” She leans over to whisper something to Nora, who grins and whispers something back.  Nora does something that makes the video start playing on the telly, and Pez sees the title “99 Luftballons” flash on the screen. Oh, yes. This will be fun.
