     𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐓-𝐔𝐏 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐋𝐘 𝐂𝐑𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊.   scorpius  was  good  at  a  lot  of  things.   well,  some  things.  without  a  shadow  of  a  doubt  though,  the  thing  he  was  probably  best  at  was  understanding  when  to  keep  his  mouth  shut.   and  with  a  quick  glance  at  his  best  friend,  he  decided  to  do  just  that.   so  he  just  stands  there,   eyes  diverting  back  and  forth  to  albus.   they  boy  insists  on  not  saying  a  word  as  the  two  of  them  lean  against  the  cold  castle  wall.   better  to  leave  his  unprompted  declarations  for  a  more  appropriate  time.   if  that  time  ever  came  about.

 -ˏˋ      an uneasy silence hangs between them.     it feels very    l i k e   him to ruin a good thing ,   but this    –––   landon has no idea how to handle any of it.     this summer had been   .  .  .    amazing .     outside of rafael ,   he’s never felt quite that understood.     or like someone   cared    to try.     or at least he’d    thought    he’d never felt that way.     and he can’t   b l a m e    her for cowering behind every corner when he comes walking down the hall ,    but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt.     between her and raf ,   he’s   tired    of losing friends.

     𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐎 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒,   their  relationship  was  still  the  same.   they  still  had  the  laughs,   the  inside  jokes  and  the  back  and  forth  teasing  that  was  simply  theirs.   except,  they  could  also  do  this.   such  a  simple  act  that  could  be  developed  into  so  much.   act  which  has  scorpius  wondering  how  he  managed  so  long  without.   kissing  albus  was  so  much  better  than  anything  he  even  hoped.   he  didn’t  expect  the  world  to  completely  come  to  a  halt,   but  it  did.   only they mattered.     ❝     if  i  had  know  kissing  was  enough  to  shut  you  up  . . .     ❞     he  laughs  gently,   fingers  tenderly  tracing  albus’s  back.   his  lips  press  in a smile,   peppering  kisses  on  the  others  lips.     ❝     now  i  would  like  an  apology.   repeat  after  me:   scorp  your  cooking  is  amazing  and  i  shall  not  say  otherwise  anymore.     ❞
