Willow being the one to point out Buffy’s “self imposed self reliance”…there’s something Summersberg-y happening
All of this Rosenbot stuff is starting to make me enjoy Summersberg a bit more...
Buffy and Willow should've been experimenting with each other in college but instead we got the Parker storyline
Summersberg/Rosenbot edit set to Fiction (Dreams in Digital) by Orgy. Can anyone hear me

Willow and Buffy have whatever Meredith Grey and Cristina Yang have going on.
Two fic updates back to back today, because (at the risk of heavy-handedness) I wanted to pull out the two passages that sort of constitute my thesis statement on the Buffy/Willow relationship at its best?
(Background here is that vampire!Kendra has been rotated into Angel's role in the poisoned-vampire-can-only-be-cured-by-Slayer-blood plotline.)

“Buffy, if Kendra drains Faith's blood, it'll kill her.” “Not if she's already dead.” In that moment Willow had suddenly seen in Buffy’s eyes the gulf between them: that Buffy had resigned herself long ago to having to kill people she cared about, and Willow still couldn’t do it even once. Had Angel been the first? Or had Buffy killed her own version of Carmilla before she’d even met Willow? Or even just her own version of Jesse? It had been a shock, and for a moment it made her feel cruel and manipulative. To win Buffy and Xander over to her original plan for Carmilla, she had deliberately appealed to their reluctance to kill something that looked like her. Like she had slipped her fingers into their wounds to get a better grip, to guide them in the direction she had wanted them to go, and hadn’t even noticed how much it hurt them. The next moment the guilt had given way to protectiveness. Not this time. Buffy had had enough grief, and enough impossible choices, for a lifetime, and Willow needed to protect her from any more. There had to be a way out - a way to save Kendra without Buffy having to sacrifice Faith. There had to be a way for everyone to live. A way for Buffy to not have to choose.

And then Willow had come up to her, with that sweet scared look on her face, and said, "Buffy, if Kendra drains Faith's blood, it'll kill her.” In that moment Buffy had seen in Willow’s eyes the gulf between them: that after all this, Willow could rise above her past jealousy and find it in her to care, to be actively, genuinely concerned for someone who had been her hated rival. While Buffy was stuck in bitterness and guilt, feeling nothing but black anger and misery. "Not if she's already dead." She made her choice. But the next moment her guilt shifted into protectiveness. She had to preserve Willow’s sweetness. That was why she had to take the tough choices, had to choose, sometimes, who lived and who died, so that Willow could keep her soul intact.
