Change The World: He Named Me Malala A Documentary Screening Wednesday, July 12 6:30-8:00 PM β Eligible participants: open to all! Come to a special showing of He Named Me Malala, a documentary about a Pakistani teenager who advocated for girls' education and was attacked by Taliban gunmen. Malala Yousafzai has become an international voice for the education rights of all children and is the youngest person ever to receive a Nobel Peace Prize (2014).

Craftzilla: Saddle-Stitch Booklets Wednesday, June 14 β Session 1: 3:00-4:00 PM β Session 2: 4:15-5:15 PM REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Please call (402-293-3157) or come in to the library to sign up! Space is limited. This event is for: those going into the 7th-12th grade and 2017 high school graduates. Learn how to make a saddle-stitch booklet that can be used as a personal journal, sketchbook, memory or scrap book. A simple and elegant binding technique, combined with cool cover papers and multi-color stitchery. Leave with a brand-new creative skill! Participants may make more than one during their session.

Birth through 6th grade may join the CHILDREN'S program. Drop by the library between May 21-27 to get your activity/reading logs and event spots a WEEK early! But don't worry: you can still sign up any time May 28th through July 22nd! β Activity/reading logs begin May 28th and participants MUST be present to first register for these.
