Foraging for wild food teaches us so many lessons and is therapeutic in so many ways. First and foremost getting outside and connecting with the earth! We soak up the rays of the sun getting a much-needed vitamin D boost. Foraging teaches us patience it is all about picking the plant at the height of its use when everything is just ripe. We also have to pick with precision so we don’t get stung. Foraging teaches us acceptance sometimes we are too late and have to be grateful for whatever we harvest large or small. When harvesting you become in a meditative state living in the moment and enjoying life. Then we get to reap the benefits of our harvest enjoying our luscious berries or whatever we may find on our walk in the woods! I love wild berry season!
