fuck the mta
left my house and schlepped to the subway in the pouring rain to get in a spin class before heading to miami this morning.
well, the MTA had other plans. I’ve been standing on the platform for ten minutes and no trains are moving in either direction because shit’s broken as usual.
I honestly don’t think I’m going to make it to my spin class that starts in ten minutes. and I’m pissed.
Commute from hell.

The only real thing I am feeling positive about right now is that I won the first round of yarn chicken on my miso (ambah o'brien) I finished my last increase repeat with about 4 inches of my first skein of yarn.
Everything else is just not...
It is one thirty am.
I have waited 20 minutes for my first subway who knows how long I will have to wait for the next one when I actually get into Brooklyn.
I have a nasty cold sore. The first one I have had in a while. The only 24 hour pharmacy between work and home was sold out of Abreva.
I have a dentist appointment tomorrow.
Then a friends birthday dinner.
And then I don't know what is happening with my next day off. My Japanese class is on Thursday and i am supposed to now be at work 2 hours earlier than normal. Then have off on Friday. My Japanese class is timed perfectly so that it finishes an hour before my normal shift time.
I talked to chef and he only said he didn't know if it was okay for me to come in late, but didn't say anything about just switching my days off.
I don't want to switch my days off to be honest, because I really really need a day where I don't have to go into Manhattan. A day where I can choose to shirk doing chores because I need to blanket fort and replenish spoons.
MTA: The A train isn't going past 181st St. this weekend.
Normal passengers: UGH! Are you kidding me?! This is ridiculous! Get your act together, MTA!
Me: GET OFF AT 181ST AND TAKE THE ESCALATOR. I HOPE YOU'RE WRITIN' THIS DOWN, I'M GONNA TEST YA' LATER.
