I’ve been struggling with my doctor’s restrictions of not being able to work out yet, which means no races any time soon. After thinking for years that I could never complete a Spartan Race, to completing 20 races + an HH (with 14 of them + the HH having been completed AFTER a year of rehabbing my torn ACL/meniscus.) This accident last month has really wreaked havoc with my fitness and race goals for the year, it has rendered my season pass pretty much a waste, but worse of all, it has affected my quality of life when I can’t even get my dogs out for a walk and not feel like a truck ran me over - I can run around with them playing hide and seek - I can’t do the simple things without being down for hours after a simple walk in my neighborhood. The light at the end of the tunnel is still very dim and hard to focus on, but for the time being, I will continue to take it one day at a time (easier said than done) and will continue to follow the doctor’s orders so I can come back stronger. #inspiration #dedication #determination #drugfreepainmanagement #caraccidentssuck #keepyourheadup #keepyoureyesontheprize #ontheroadtorecovery #stayfocused #subuocr #nothingisimpossible #getitdone (at Exeter Twp)
