aand all done with the extras for heads or tails! (i did this one bc it was fairly easy and it didn't take me too long, enjoy, i suppose!!)
I watched Sting and Juvia walk away with an unfamiliar feeling in my gut. It was weird â when I talked to Juvia that day after physics, I felt like I had discovered her. That sounds really condescending and stupid, butâŚI donât know. I liked it. Having one of the schoolâs most legendary bitches regard you with something besides hatred feltâŚgood.
I dunno. It made me feel kinda sour that I wasnât the only one she spent time with.
âCool. Iâm coming with.â I said suddenly, sliding past Lyon casually.
âWhat? Gray â you need to sleep-â
âIâll sleep when Iâm dead, be back in a few.â I dismissed Lyon nonchalantly and followed Sting and Juvia out.
Juvia looked at me oddly. âWow. That wasâŚâ
âWell-put,â Sting finished for her, sending a twinge of annoyance up my spine. I donât know why, I just kind of wanted to hear what Juvia was going to say. She didnât seem bothered by it though, so I let it slide.
âLetâs go swimming!â Sting shouted as he whizzed ahead. Leaving me and Juvia closer to each other. I suddenly blinked and realized I should probably say something so I donât look like an idiot.
âSo are we really swimming? OrâŚâ I laughed awkwardly at the end of the sentence. Nice job Gray, you fuckwad.
âSting wants to race me.â She mumbled. Oh god. Is she upset with me? I canât really tell the difference between her âIâm-angry-at-youâ voice and her regular voice. Better break it with a joke. Or something. Thatâs really the only way you can tell if sheâs pissed at you.
Technically, sheâs only really been pissed at me once, as far as I can remember anyways. That time when she thought I sabotaged her about her swim meet. I really, really needed to figure out what was up with thatâŚ
âAh. Are we placing bets?â I threw in my joke a little too late. Dammit! Itâs always the timingâŚ
âYouâd be the only one.â She answered wryly. Shit! She is totally pissed at me! How the hell do I fix this?
I attempted to keep my appearance stoic as I debated on how to get her not-mad at me, and why she was mad at me in the first place. Lyon, maybe? Oh my god. Oh my god.
What if she and Sting were on a date? Did I just rudely interrupt their date with my need to get away from Lyon?
Fuck. I am a fucking idiot.
âSo, you and Sting, huh?â I asked testily, staring at the carpet intently, âhow long has that been goinâ on?â
She looked at me like I was nuts.
âWhat? LikeâŚsince we met?â She asked. I could tell by her tone I was treading in dangerous waters.
âSince you guys startedâŚyou knowâŚâ
â-God no.â She interrupted, her laughter making me even more confused than before. Jesus Christ, this fucking woman, I swear to god â sheâd be the death of me.
âStrictly platonic. I see.â I answered. Did my voice just crack? Fuck.
I got into the elevator with Juvia and Sting made his best effort to press every button the elevator could offer.
"Sting, press one more button, and Iâll break your collarbone.â Juvia threatened, even though she had a wry smile on her lips.
âDo it,â I whispered, definitely wanting to see Juvia beat the shit out of someone. âI dare you.â
Sting pressed the button in response to my dare. Faster than I could comprehend, Juvia reached forward and pulled Sting into a chokehold. Impressive, especially since she was still wearing a skimpy bikini. She had tried to hide it, I could tell, but she wasnât trying hard enough because I was still catching glimpses of her bare skin. I felt kind of dirty â probably because it was Juvia and she could easily match me in a fight if she wanted to.
Or maybe it was something else. I donât really know.
âOw, Juvia, this hurts!â Sting whimpered. I was laughing pretty hard at that point. I liked spending time with these morons. It sure as fuck beat sitting around in my hotel room getting pointers from Lyon.
I stopped laughing when I watched Sting bite Juvia in the arm, leaving a bright red bite mark behind.
âJesus, Sting, you wanna side of soylent green with that, you fucking weirdo?â Juvia asked, pulling away from him like he was contagious (he might be, who knows) and wiping the remaining Sting-spit on his chest.
Ugh. That stupid feeling went off in my chest again when I noticed that they were obviously closer than Juvia and I had ever been. Not only in proximity, but in friendship, too.
âOoh, look. Weâre here, goody.â I said in a clipped tone. Hopefully none of themnoticed how weird I had been acting, and feeling. I just had to shake it off, and that stupid feeling wouldnât come back again.
youâre jealous gray, you fucking moron
