Where were you when you saw three armadillos??
So I live in Georgia in the United States and since Florida (the state below us) is becoming an ecological nightmare the armadillos have been migrating up and making a home here. That hike was actually the first time I’ve seen a live wild armadillo (let alone 3 playing!!) which makes sense because I’ve heard a bunch of people in my area talking about how they’ve showed up out of nowhere all of a sudden. I was on a 4 mile trail so at the time I was pretty deep into the woods. That’s probably why they were so comfortable around there, I don’t imagine they get many people besides hikers back there and the hikers on that trail are generally pretty respectful of wildlife. It was a super cool experience! Actually got to see a turtle give birth on the same hike, a lot happened that day!
Well you know what they say, when life gives you armadillos you make armadillo polls!
