Resources: French for Dummies and Lovetoknow
Hi guys! This week was so busy, I am sorry I couldn't post a study tip (I'm working on it tho :) ) I was super busy, I had a French test, and Science test this week. Speaking of French I am planning on posting a French masterpost...But anyways this is this weeks quote. Make sure that no matter what happens you can still achieve your goals. The secret to achieve anything is hard work:). That’s all for now. Bye!
Study Skill 2 Flashcards
Hi guys, today I had a little bit of free time so I decided to post this weeks study skill. I have a big science unit test and I'm using these a lot right now. Any guesses? If you guessed flashcards you are right :) There are many different ways to use flashcards and I am going to share them with you guys. Hope you like it
You can make flashcards by buying a pack of index cards. Index Cards can be found at almost anywhere. You can get them at Wal-mart or at your local dollar store. They aren't very expensive, you can get 200 cards for only three dollars. Usually they are sold in two different packs, one neon colors and the other plain ruled. I prefer the plain ruled ones because you can write with pencil and see your writing. Sometimes the neon ones are to bright and you can't see the writing unless you use a fineliner.
How to use:
You can use them by writing a definition, formula or just about anything. On the other side you can define or explain what was written on the front. You can use different colors and draw diagrams on the back of the card to give you a better understanding.
The Three deck System
If you want to memorize something for a long period of time then you can use the three deck system. In this system you place all of your flashcards into three different decks.
Deck 1- Contains flashcards with information on them that you don't really know. You review these everyday. Once you been practicing everyday for one week then you can move theses cards to the second deck
Deck 2- Contains flashcards that contain information that are familiar with but you just learned. You review these one or two times a week. Once you have done this for a month move them into the third deck.
Deck 3- Lastly in the third deck you keep cards that have information that you know and are well aware of. You have reviewed all these terms many times that’s why you only have to view this deck once at the end of each month.
What happens if you are reviewing your second or third deck and forgot the information on one card?
Easy you just put that card back into the first deck so you will review it everyday.
If for some reason you can't buy index cards. That's Okay! You can use online index cards. These can also be very helpful on the go. So here are some online websites or extensions that I think you can use :)

Flastabs
If you have a test coming up and you spend a lot of time on your laptop or computer, I really recommend Flashtabs an chrome extension. Because sometimes you might forget to review your flashcards but with this extension every new tab that you open a card will appear. This can also help with procrastination, because every time your surfing the web and open a new tab you will be reminded to study.
