I’m a firm believer that nothing should hold you back from following your dreams, whether that’s your gender, economic status, or having a family. I work in the baby product industry alongside my studies and the amount of choice out there can be incredibly daunting, especially for first-time parents. I’ve known student parents during my times at both undergraduate and postgraduate, and after speaking to them I’ve realised the most important thing for them is baby products that are efficient.
To help student parents navigate through to find what is best for them and their busy lifestyle, The Baby Show is holding a three-day event from 17-19th May 2019 at the NEC Birmingham. This is the UK’s largest event for parents (both expectant and current), allowing you to save both money and time as leading and boutique baby brands are all under one roof.
There are a range of exciting speakers, including blogger Louise Pentland, The Sleep Nanny, and author of the Positive Birth Book, Milli Hill. In between watching the engaging talks, parents can shop leading brands like Mothercare, The Gro Company, and Cybex. They also have a MadeForMums Buggy Testing Track where you can test out each pram on different surfaces so you can find which is best for you. For student parents, it is important for baby products not only to be efficient in how they are used, but it is also key that they are cost-effective. There are offers available on global brands, with Ergobaby offering a free stroller carry bag when you purchase the ErgoBaby Metro Compact City Stroller. To help babies with sleeping, and giving student parents precious resting hours, Sleepyhead are offering up to 15% off Sleepyhead Pods and up to 15% off ergoPouch organic cocoon swaddles. MAM are offering a free 130ml Anti Colic Self Sterilising Bottle and Start Soother - perfect for keeping baby settled whilst you’re doing work.
Adult day tickets start from just £14.70, and children under 14 are free! You can also purchase ticket packages with brands such as Shnuggle and Tommee Tippee which include complimentary products alongside the tickets.
It’s important to remember that chasing your dreams doesn’t have to end because you also want to have a family! The world is your oyster!
The Baby Show did not pay for this post, nor control over its content. They are providing me with a free ticket to be able to share The Baby Show with my student parent followers.
