Currently Reading: Domestic Affairs: Intimacy, Eroticism, and Violence Between Servants and Masters in Eighteenth-Century Britain, by Kristina Straub.
Not quite what I was expecting, but interesting regardless. I certainly hope you've read Samuel Richardson's Pamela before picking this up. As well, I think it would have been better titled Domestic Affairs: Intimacy, Eroticism, and Violence Between Servants and Masters in Eighteenth-Century British Literature, because that's really what this book looks at.
