The one in which with @giuliadepentor and Eleonora Antonioni we were talking about remarkable women whose lives should be taught at school? So, when I was in Istanbul I took the opportunity to see some of the places in which Florence Nightingale was living and working. First pic: the Bosphorus. There's no such a better place to see Istanbul from, and I bet she was watching the sun rising and going down by her tower every day. 🌅 Second one: in Büyükada, in front of the Prinkipo Greek orthodox orphanage. It is literally one of the creepiest places I've ever seen, as it's abandoned and falling apart. It is the second largest wooden construction in the world, and you should go visit it before it will collapse (I really hope not). 👻 Last but not the least: a short video in which you can see the Selimiye Barracks in Üsküdar. Florence was working there with her team of nurses to save wounded soldiers during the Crimean War. It was once open to visitors, but now is closed, and I hope isn't forever. 😞 Anyway, go catch up the episode, LINK IN BIO!!!
