Howdy Stimlords!
So- I guess since I made the blog, I’ll go first. Hi! I’m Pax! I’ve been diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder... since I can remember actually, and it’s something I have a complicated relationship with, and something I’d like to own more. So I started this blog to celebrate one of my favorite things relating to autism/SPD, which is stimming! Without further ado, here are some of my favorite stims!
- laying under my weighted blanket
- Listening to a song with a lot of echolalic repetition (Talking Heads, anyone?)
- Bouncing my leg (a classic)
- Chewing/biting (I don’t do this one often in public)
-Nail polish tutorials. I’m not kidding. Watching someone paint a little palm tree or mermaid scales or some shit on their fingernail is the closest I’ve ever come to meeting God.
- Dancing. I used to hate dances bc of how loud they were, but then I discovered musician’s earplugs, and now I can’t wait to go dancing!
-Tangles. I used to have one, but I fidgeted it so hard it broke beyond repair. Pour one out for my sad, brutalized tangle. :(
-Fidgeting with my blanket. It makes such a nice sound when I rub my thumb against it!
