oh did I tell you. So I was really into dress up in virtual worlds for a while. First it were kids' club penguin-esque games, then Gaia Online when I was a teen. You know, because of the large array of items and the different guides and categories, it was fun in an "excel sheet" kind of way. But the items weren't free and I spent too much time playing the local mmorpg to get the virtual money which was an activity I didn't enjoy. So I quit.
The next step was finding a dress up virtual world game for my dress up needs that 1) didn't require me to get addicted, and 2) preferably allowed me to upload my own virtual clothes, since, as I had already discovered at that time, it was hard to find anything that would suit my autistically inflexible taste, as any item that was even a pixel off from what I had specifically wanted drove me crazy and set the neverending cycle of looking for a better one in motion yet again.
So I found it. It was Stichy, a little mobile app. Very simple. Didn't have that much functionality iirc, you could just upload your clothes (unmoderated) and wear them (for free) or buy other people's clothes for a fair price. You didn't have to do any side tasks at all, you could just get the virtual money (acorns) from selling your own stuff.
So I made a couple outfits, you know, then I made some others later, usually when I was sick so I didn't have the energy to do anything more important. It lasted a couple years.
The app seemed to have issues with the economic side of things. It didn't pay artists when it had originally promised to (okay), introduced daily free coupons for clothes, which eventually lead to acorns losing their purpose (yay?).
But I was finally satisfied with life. I had the opportunity to draw an outfit I actually liked.
Then it SHUT DOWN.
Well, okay, not quite. It just deleted everyone's data and rebranded itself as an AI app.
You couldn't upload clothes anymore, you could only make them with AI prompts! I found out years later, when I wasn't into dress up games anymore. I just wanted to check my account, whoosh, it was gone.
No one is talking about this. It just vanished as if it was all a dream.
Yeah, I know about better dress up games now. Then again, like I said, I'm not into them anymore.
Anyway...
P. S. My epic anime girl outfits to reminisce about better times.
P. P. S. It's AI now!!! What's the point! They've completely lost the plot, I tell you.

Last year i was drawing in all my free time for this dress up game app
Its called Stichy
Its a simple dress up game but everything is user generated, wich is awesome if you are an artist and love to play with your characters and ocs
Every user has a virtual clothing store and you can download any clothes from others to your closet to wear them
Before the game had an economic system, you were actually buying clothes with in game currency, but since the game didn't meet enough success the devs removed the money system, now you can buy everything for free.
The game is still available it's just not updated anymore, but it's fun to try.
Here are some examples of clothes I made
I even uploaded the dress from the visual novel (the skin in this one isn't a perfect match ^^')
Here's my shop link in the game: https://www.stichy.me/studio/4672
Also I made a fan page with some guides for the game : https://the-stichy-fan-guide.jimdofree.com/
This is not advertising, I was just very invested in this game before ^^'
