1) endgame was insanely ooc which is to say that is not what steve rogers' character was, or what he would ever do. That wad just bad writing and in this house we reject bad writing.

2) stevebucky relationship through mcu wa massive queerbaiting. the tropes that were employed in their "friendship", were they employed to a heterosexual couple would turn that pairing into couple goals. Just because it's two dudes doesn't mean "till the end of the line" isn't a borderline wedding vow.

3) yes steve left Bucky behind in endgame - so me shipping stucky is canon divergence or an absolute fanon which nothing to do with canon. Cool. True.

but, so is sambucky (cuz it's not canon and I'm sorry but I do not see any romantic tropes being employed even in subtext, least of all to the degree they were in stevebucky)

so is pepperony - cuz isn't Tony d*ad??? It may have been canon but it isn't anymore cuz canon got done with that ship.

so is wandavision, or nat/clint or like any ship apart from Scott/hope cuz they're the only ones who were actually alive together.

4) steve/peggy post endgame isn't disgusting only because I'm a stucky shipper. It's disgusting because they undermined Peggy's whole character, her life, her marriage just to make her Steve's prize at the end. Peggy lived a whole like, with Daniel Sousa (presumably), as founder of shield, as a badass agent. shE MOVED ON?? how does it make sense to make her and steve a pairing when she clearly let go of him? that's bad writing and dismissal of a female character as just a romantic interest.

AND FINALLY 5) the day you can prove that Steve didn't go to Azzano to rescue bucky (and everyone else was just lucky they were there), that he didn't basically pick up and drop the mantle of cap for Bucky, that he would've honestly died rather than having to hurt Bucky, that Bucky didn't find himself again because of Steve, that Steve acted massively selfish for Bucky in ca:cw for Bucky and Bucky spent his entire life protecting, supporting Steve be it as s skinny kid or cap (even after Steve's "gone" Bucky's protecting cap's shield in fatws) - unless you can prove all of this, don't come @ me with all your alternate ships or reasons why stucky is unreasonable.

And then I think about Bucky Barnes, Winter Soldier, receiving a probably bastardized version of cap's serum, being pushed again and again by hydra as a part of an intensive, brutal training for being a perfect killing weapon, not having any choice but to become the best, most efficient, probably robotic version of himself.

That's why Bucky - in tfatws - lands on his feet everytime he leaps (it's the hydra training which taught him to be stealth, efficient, no margin for mistakes) and Steve - in catws - free falls into broken glass, injured, hurt, and gets up and walks off.

there's a lot of steggy shippers out there go interact with them??? i love steve but i have enough sense to know he's a fictional character and while i have opinions on his love life, I genuinely don't care who he loves??? It's fiction, anyone can make him love anyone given right context???

it's 4am and i got this notification and i honestly cannot give less fucks about someone thinking im disgusting for shipping stucky. there's a lot of other things you could hate me for, tbh
