my mcu hot take is that people who are team iron man (abt the sokovia accords) fundamentally misunderstood the conflict and the ideology of both sides. the whole reasoning of team cap was that they couldn’t give all of their decision making power to someone who wasn’t them, and especially not a corrupt government. team cap understood the responsibility their powers came with and team iron man just wanted to sign the sokovia accords because they felt guilty about what happened in the past and wanted to shift the blame. i deadass saw someone say team cap was american government propaganda. did we watch the same movie? team cap valued the people they were many to look after and team iron man couldn’t handle the guilt. but no, let’s all be team iron man because they have a “cooler” team.
