Spilled tea on my notes today; I really should invest in a waterproof ink. It is somewhat fun to see the patterns left as the water dries, and what words I can make out afterwards.

In less unfortunate news, I successfully turned in a paper which means I'm one paper closer to the end of the term.

Some real-time class notes on the left and more careful textbook notes on the right. I feel like the size of the loops is a giveaway to how quickly I was writing.

I've more or less moved on from my kpop phase, but Shinee is one of the groups that's always been close to my heart. Taemin's latest comeback is already one of my favorite releases of the year.

A late start means a late night… There’s only 2 more days before my midterm so the stress has started to set in. On top of that, I’ve got a meeting with my research team coming up that I haven’t started preparing for and an essay that I need to write up for tomorrow, but one thing at a time.

I've found myself frustrated for no reason lately so I decided to make cinnamon roll scones. I usually default to writing when stressed, but when that doesn't work it's a toss up between fine or culinary arts. Today turned out to be a baking sort of day.

Task list for today. Not done with everything despite it now being evening, but that's alright. The daylight hasn't slipped by entirely yet and even if it does, there's always the night.

Have been buzzing around my little studio flat all day today tidying and arranging and enjoying the space. It's the first time I've truly lived alone away from home. Most uni students would have done this a few years prior but comparison is rarely helpful so I try not to dwell on it.

My last final of the term is in a few days and I've finally begun to review for it. Part of me knows I should probably be more worried given that there's only 48 hours left until the exam begins but it does happen to be open note so...

In other news, Poppy finally dropped Eat on Spotify. My soul can now know peace.

Sorted through a bunch of old study notes from my undergrad to see which ones I want to keep for future reference today and thought I'd share some. Both of these are from my last two years in aero - safe to say my handwriting is far better now.

Left is notes from my junior level controls class with one of my favorite professors. I always enjoy collecting random quotes from my professors in class and you can see some of hers I scribbled in pencil in the margins. On the right is miscellaneous research on the Apollo landing system that I did for a senior design team project. They used a lightweight aluminum honeycomb system that crumpled upon impact - I think I ended up using that same thing in our own theoretical lander proposal. Those notes were taken fairly early on in our project and, given how incredibly intensive it was, I can't remember if this particular section made it into our final report. My biggest regret in my undergrad was not participating more in that class. But I don’t think I could have if I tried since I had so much else going on in my life at the time, so I try not to wallow in the missed opportunity.
