Steam Down featuring Afronaut Zu released their interpretation of Wayne Shorter’s “Etcetera”. It’s a characteristically cool combination, which features afro-swing, grime, jazz and future soul. “Etcetera” was the title track from revered jazz saxophonist Shorter’s 1965 Blue Note album. “Wayne Shorter has long been my favourite saxophonist and composer in jazz. Reworking Etcetera from his legendary Blue Note catalogue is a childhood dream come true”, said Ahnanse from Steam Down. Steam Down has quickly established a growing fan base in the UK and abroad. Their every performance is a co-creative experience between musicians and audience where everyone's participation matters, regardless of language, background or nationality.   Watch the video below to a Steam Down new song featuring Afronaut Zu on vocals, an interpretation of Wayne Shorter’s “Etcetera”, from the forthcoming album “Blue Note Re:imagined”: Throughout 2019, Steam Down took part in a variety of different projects, including supporting Sampa The Great on Jools Holland, headlining Boiler Room’s Festival alongside Afronaut Zu, Nubya Garcia, and Charlotte Dos Santos, as well as the release of their debut single “Free My Skin” in November.
