"Wow, this school looks like it'll really be something!"
Beautiful Beginnings | | Mason & Fintan
Fintan stood in front of the mirror fixing her hair, and turning herself about to see how she looked. It had been a week or two since her and Mason went out for dinner. She was now getting ready for her third date with him, it was a surprise as to where. Fintan began to grow especially fond of Mason, she had developed special feelings for him that she had never felt towards anyone before. It was strange, like a beautiful beginning to something amazing. Beams of orange peeked in through her curtains and danced around the room. It was a beautiful summer night, and the sunset cast playful shadows throughout her bed room. She grabbed her make up bag and began to make a few last touch ups while eagerly waiting for Mason. Fintan was in a state between calm and excited, like a joyful bliss.
"I can't believe how relieved I am that exams have ended. I could almost dance with joy. Perhaps later I will, that is if you're up for a bit of after exam fun?" he asked playfully.
A Songbird for the lonely Phantom | | Vesper & Evangeline
Vesper was in a great deal of both emotional and physical pain. Most of the wounds he inflicted with his katana had healed, however the silver still had a lingering burn on his pale body. He lay in bed staring at the ceiling, his body scarred and bruised. Vesper knew that he had hurt Evangeline. He had to apologize. She was not the one that deserved to suffer. Vesper peeled himself from his bedsheets and carefully buttoned up his shirt, wincing as the fabric brushed his new wounds. He buttoned his collar up to his neck so she would not see the scar that ran from ear to ear. Once he was dressed he put a blanket over his bed so his roommate would not come back to sheets caked with blood. He walked out of his room slamming the door behind him. Vesper managed to drag himself so that he was in front of Evangeline's door. He stood and stared at it for a while before he finally built up his courage and emptied his mind. He gave four precise knocks and waited anxiously.

marcus-k =)
Just a regular day. Up until a piece of the paper he was writing decided to slit a small cut into his pinky finger. To many people, a paper cut isn’t as big of deal as it was to Andrew. Unfortunately, excessive bleeding happened to be one of the downsides to being a member of his race.
The incident happened with a fair amount of silence before his Psychology classroom filled with his girlishly high shriek followed by a ‘Frick. Sorry! Gotta go.’. The unicorn held his fist up to his shoulder, squeezing the finger with his other hand, ending up knocking his chair to the ground in his frantic rush to reach his dormitory. Band-aids. Band-aids would be sweet right now…
Making it to his assigned room before he became too dizzy, the brunette begins digging through his unpacked boxes to no avail. “Crap, crap… This is how it ends…” He more than mutters with maybe a little too much dramatic flair.
Andrew's 100 questions (Task 1)
1.What is your full name?
Andrew Elias Thorsen
2.Where and when were you born?
June 3rd 1992. The Black Forest, Germany.
3.Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
Elysia Thorsen is a former herbologist who took a turn for the worst after her husband died at the hands of a group of ruthless hunters. Never having witnessed cruelty at such an escalated fashion, she shut out the rest of the world and moved herself and her only son to the Venezuelan rainforest.
Before the tragedy she was a gentle and sweet woman who cared for each individual in the town she often visited, curing their illnesses with her knowledge of herbs. Currently she’s slightly deranged and unable to trust even Andrew with her life, unbelieving that anyone has the capacity to love. Filling the young child’s mind with thoughts that the human race lacks empathy, compassion and would do anything to harm each other as well as every other species.
Friedrick and Elysia lived for centuries with each other, roaming the wilderness and finding the perfect home to raise their family, it took many years to find the place on earth where the moonlight shines just right in order to create their first born, which they named Andrew. They wished for the child to be able to live a normal life; to be able to live among the humans. The pair believed all species were able to live together peacefully. However, winter of 1995 Friedrick perished at the hand of a hunter during a wild, lie-driven pillage of the lands. They had been told many stories which proved false; and that, in turn, led to many unicorns and other supernatural species to die that year.
He was told to have been a very humble, patient man. He would most often defend the actions of humans and wish for a peaceful understanding.
4.Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
No. I’m an only child.
5.Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
Currently I live in a school dormitory with my roommate Marcus K. However, before the knowledge of this school, I lived with my mother in northern South America.
6.What is your occupation?
I work as a waiter at the Cooky Chicken.
7.Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
6’2”, 190 lbs. Caucasian. Dark brunette hair and Celedon (blue/green) eyes. Andrew will normally dress in casual t-shirts and jeans. Zero scars and tattoos. Distinguishing marks include dimples on his cheeks and fair skin.
8.To which social class do you belong?
If Andrew were to be classified into a social network, he would most likely fall into the popular group. Not in the ‘prep and jock’, but more as a ‘brighten everyones day’ kind of popular.
9.Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
He tends to get allergies in the spring due to pollen and dust.
10.Are you right- or left-handed?
Ambidextrous., leaning more toward left-handed.
11.What does your voice sound like?
A slightly lower octave than usual. His voice will often raise and crack when he becomes excited.
12.What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
“Awesome!” “Uh, what’s that?” “Gosh darn!”
13.What do you have in your pockets?
Half a piece of gum, garbage found on the street to be thrown out later, and band-aids.
14.Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
What ISN’T quirky about this guy? Never knowing what to do with his hands, he will awkwardly fidget with his fingernails or hems on his clothing. Speaking of which, why was clothing even invented? Andrew doesn’t much like the constricted movements required to wear clothes. He will very often grind his teeth, possibly due to anxiety issues. He rarely brushes his hair, has no idea how to work any object with a fairly recent amount of technology… His laughing ranges from low giggling to loud, hiccupping-type ‘ha’s.
Part 2: Growing Up
1.How would you describe your childhood in general?
His childhood was nothing if not secluded and lonely. Due to his mother’s insecurities, Andrew never met another living being besides the mammals living in the rainforest. No humans or other supernatural creatures besides his mother. He didn’t mind, however, until she began ranting more than usual. It was then he began gathering herbs to sell at the local village to save up to escape her.
2.What is your earliest memory?
A foggy memory which involved his father. The lake shone brightly, reflecting sunbeams against the beautifully paned glass of his first home in Germany. His mother was waiting on the porch as his Father and him played in the pools. The only words he could make out in his young mind were ‘don’t live life afraid and alone’. It was definitely one of the driving forces behind the never-ending attempts at living happily.
3.How much schooling have you had?
In societies standards he hasn’t attended a day of school in his life. However, his mother did teach him about survival and the many natural medicines across the world.
4.Did you enjoy school?
He definitely would have!
5.Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
From his mother.
6.While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
He did much admire the large, hooved beasts. Even though their bodies and bones allowed them to injure other species, they refused. Instead eating the plants and living in harmony with each other.
7.While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
He loved his mother very dearly. Though she did often argue with him in regards to, well, everything…
8.As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Andrew didn’t care much what he would be doing, just that he would be able to meet and greet with humans and spend time with others.
9.As a child, what were your favorite activities?
Running through the forests and spending time near the many waterfalls.
10.As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
Energetic, caring, innocent, hopeful.
11.As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
He was quite popular with the critters found in and around his home. Beatrice, the monkey, was incredibly nimble on her branches. Tortoise, however, was not.
12.When and with whom was your first kiss?
… Kiss?
13.Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Yes.
14.If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.
Unicorn. Andy was born as such, and new from birth what he was. The better part of his childhood was spent as his beastial form. As he grew older, and more able to hone his powers, he was able to sustain his image as a human boy.
Part 3: Past Influences
1.What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Hopping on that boat to arrive at the airport that let him escape to civilization! It has provided so many learning opportunities and will shape him into a proper member of society.
2.Who has had the most influence on you?
Anyone, really… Andrew is extremely naïve, and will believe every word uttered to him. Therefore, anyone who takes the time to teach him has a crazy amount of influence on the unicorn.
3.What do you consider your greatest achievement?
When he was able to climb, what he considered to be, the tallest tree in the forest. This occurred just after his eighth birthday, which allowed him to build up the courage to do so.
4.What is your greatest regret?
Not being able to spend more time, and to learn more from his father.
5.What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
He once pushed Honeydew, his panther friend, into the pond. In his defense, the bugger had it coming to him.
6.Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
Not that he knows of… ?
7.When was the time you were the most frightened?
One particular night, Elysia was in a significantly terrible rage that she threw a chair to the side, scraping his knee. All the while screaming at him about how he should have done more to help their family survive and grow. Never has Andrew been so scared for his life than in that moment. She was in such a fit of hysteria that she couldn’t even utter his name from memory, she only saw a blank face which failed her.
8.What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
Something that definitely should have clicked as ‘embarassing’ was a certain moment in which he frightened a young girl into screams. He was arriving to his apartment complex quite late in the evening, removing his garments along the way. Little did he understand at that time, humans don’t quite like that. He had just finished stripping his trousers off when a woman in her early teens appeared in the hallway and immediately began shrieking words including, ‘rapist’ ‘pervert’ and ‘sicko’. Andrew had felt pink rise up in his cheeks, though he hadn’t understood it to be in the act of embarrassment. He was actually quite scared.
9.If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
Andrew always wishes he had done more to make his mother happy.
10.What is your best memory?
Proceeding his father’s death, Elysia never let the smallest smile grace her lips. She was constantly crying and wishing out loud that things had turned out different. Andrew had decided one day to spend several hours preparing a bouquet for her, arranging the carefully picked flowers in a small, hand carved pot he had made earlier that year. He had called her out into the dining room, wishing for her to see his hard work. Little did he know that would be the first time he saw her smile.
11.What is your worst memory?
That would definitely be the day his mother dragged him away from his fathers body.
Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions
1.Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
Optimistic.
2.What is your greatest fear?
Moths.
3.What are your religious views?
Always having been taught about guardian angels, Andrew believes in higher beings being sent down to aid in the improvement of mankind.
4.What are your political views?
Political? Coconuts.
5.What are your views on sex?
Uh… Is that a kind of fruit. (but, really… He’s a unicorn… So, you know, chastity and stuff.)
6.Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
Never.
7.In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
To betray their friends trust.
8.Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?

Aiding in everyones lives and making sure to keep a smile on your face.
10.How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
Andrew knows that his true self is what he conveys to others. However, his mind is plagued with thoughts of pain and anxiety. He is unable to share these thoughts with anyone due to his unrelenting need to help others. He often ignores himself, and his own health.
11.Do you have any biases or prejudices?
Not really, no. Regarding people, he never makes judgements before knowing the person.
12.Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
Hurt any living soul.
13.Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
If put in a situation in which he chose his life or anothers, he would most definitely choose for them to live. Without a single hesitation.
Part 5: Relationships With Others
1.In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
Extremely politely and respectfully. Once he knows the person, he will be much more touchy-feely and want to be closer.
2.Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
His mother. Due to the fact that she is the only one he knows. –laughs-
3.Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
His father. He was what he always strived to be, and will always until his death. This is because of his unprecedented kindness and treatment of everyone.
4.Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
None, really.
5.Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
No.
6.Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
No.
7.What do you look for in a potential lover?
An accepting attitude. Fun-loving. Able to joke.
8.How close are you to your family?
His relationship with his mother could either be described as extremely close or none at all. He could never really confide his emotions in her, but she was the only one he had. They took care of each other in ways not many can say about their family
9.Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
No. He has not had a chance.
10.Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?

Panther… He’s a douche.
14.Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
Avoid conflict at all costs.
15.Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
If no one steps to the plate, and if he knows enough about the situation, yes. Andrew would be comfortable in guiding people to learn.
16.Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
Yes. He has never been given the chance to be around large groups, so he would love the chance.
17.Do you care what others think of you?
Far too much.
Part 6: Likes And Dislikes
1.What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
Lying in an open field, stargazing. He has always been fascinated in other worlds, and that doesn’t exclude extraterrestrial ones.
2.What is your most treasured possession?
The only item he was able to keep of his fathers was the gold band worn for marriage. He wears it on his right ring finger.
3.What is your favorite color?
Green.
4.What is your favorite food?
Oatmeal, oats…
5.What, if anything, do you like to read?
Fairy-tale novels and encyclopedia’s.
6.What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
The art of music and song would definitely be in the top three. Andrew has always found song to be completely hypnotic and healing.
7.Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
No.
8.How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Wandering, hoping for someone to sweep him away into an adventure.
9.What makes you laugh?
Just about everything!! But, truly? He supposed it would probably be a funny joke told by his closest of friends.
10.What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
Sexual anything, probably. Though he’s never encountered it.
11.What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
He would take a long walk outside, enjoying the crisp air and the smell of the trees.
12.How do you deal with stress?
Deep breathing and thinking of other, less stressful, things.
13.Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
Insanely spontaneous. He would much rather run into fun completely blind than know what’s going to happen.
14.What are your pet peeves?
Depression. Not so much a pet peeve than something that makes his irrevocably sad. Andrew is quite unable to look onto someone who feels empty and utterly alone. He always needs to attempt to cheer them up.
Part 7: Self Images And Etc.
1.Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
Wake up. Wash mouth. Eat. Cruise though life! Disrupting of routine is always an adventure, which he is up for on a daily basis. Doing things the same every day is too dull.
2.What is your greatest strength as a person?
Perseverance and optimism.
3.What is your greatest weakness?
Being so naïve and trusting toward other people.
4.If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
That annoying little tick in the back of his mind telling him to give up and stop attempting to be someone he’s not. The anxiety he has to deal with is something he’d rather be without.
5.Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
Outwardly extroverted, inwardly introverted.
6.Are you generally organized or messy?
Artistically organized! Meaning it looks like a total write-off to anyone but him.
7.Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
Seeing the best in people, catching onto anything quickly, and being spontaneous. Things he’s bad at would be walking, conversing and singing.
8.Do you like yourself?
Yes. Andrew believes he does the best that he can, and no one can expect more of him. Least of all himself.
9.What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons…)
Andrew loves taking up his time and mind power by exploring uncharted territory. This way, he has less time to think about losing. Though, he would never tell people his true reasoning. He always explains his need for adventure as ‘wanting to learn new things’.
10.What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
Finding someone to be with for the rest of his immortal life, someone who is worth dying for as well as living for.
11.Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully not in the gutter! Honestly, though, living in a condo with his best friend and spending each day trying new things.
12.If you could choose, how would you want to die?
Old age. He always found it terribly romantic to grow old with another and spend his final hours reflecting on the life they shared.
13.If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
Tell everyone just how much he cares for them. Making sure they know not to grieve for too long. And probably eat Thai food.
14.What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
Kindness.
15.What three words best describe your personality?
Outlandish. Innocent. Optimistic.
16.What three words would others probably use to describe you?
Idiot. Naïve. Happy.
17.If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character? (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice…)
All I want you to know, Andrew, is to live life to the fullest. It all ends so terribly fast, and living in fear is never the way to go. Be kind, take risks and try new things. Always do something new. Keep things interesting!
