MINERVA aka Menrva: The so-called Minerva of Arezzo is a life-size bronze statue, representing a variant of the Vescovali type of Athena. It is considered a reworking of a Greek original attributed to the Athenian sculptor Praxiteles or his school. The piece is likely the product of Magna Graecia craftsmanship. Medium: bronze 300-280 BC. [See Pic. 4 for provenance and restoration details]

Limited Palate 1: Statue colossale de la Vierge à l'enfant, Le Puy-en-Velay, Haut-Loire, 1999.
The statue dominates the already rather dramatic skyline of Le Puy and was made from cannons captured in the Crimean war.
This is the first in a series of limited color pallet photos I am collecting. I am inclined to not consider colors when photographing things, and I am trying to train myself to limit the palate when it seems to make the most sense.
