I’ve started working on a start button consent procedure for Thistle for husbandry matters (a chin rest).

and she gets the most peculiar grimace on her face when she’s consenting to something she doesn’t like. e.g. brushing her teeth.

I find it fascinating. Here it is, a dog who doesn’t like the bristles of the brush moving against her teeth. Knowing that if she rests her chin in my hand, this will happen. But if she does so, she can get a treat. And if she does not. She also gets a treat. Yet she chooses to go through with it (sometimes).
