I love Starlympics as a concept. GMMTV is made up of 50% legitimate, serious athletes who rank nationally and are at the top of their game, and 50% dramatic divas who look personally offended by the concept of sports. They throw them all together, and then we get to watch Joss, Force, Fourth, Gawin, and their gang play like their lives depend on itβwhile meanwhile Khaotung, First, Book, and the rest of the jestersβ court make daisy chains, toss confetti and show off their dramatic acting skills by avoiding the ball as much as possible.
Plus, to add to the chaos, youβve got about 30% of the players absolutely ride or die for their team, 30% separated from their bestie on the other side and doing everything they can to secretly help them out, and the remaining 30% completely baffled by the concept of competitive sports and just wanting everyone to have a nice time and win. (Looking at you, Pond Naravit.)
And don't get me started on the fashion of it all. Half of these babies (looking at Khaotung) show up to play wearing diamond earrings and watches. They never manage to all wear tennis shoes. They keep pausing mid game to fix their hair and to put on more lip gloss.
This entire thing goes on for 8 hours and a good percentage of them manage to avoid touching a ball at all during that entire time.
Honestly gmmtv went off with this one. This is the only valid way to consume sports

it's the very godly hour of 5am here and I'm watching the Starlympics highlights and my cheeks hurt so much ππ€£ππ€£π€£π
it's so fascinating to watch the gmmtv actors in their (mostly) natural habitat i can't get enough it's almost as bad as the yaoi cocaine
Some moments that I will definitely remember, in no particular order:
-> Marc scoring a basket from the literal other side of the court in the last second of the game like fuck man wow hats off
-> while the Lightning Cheetah basketball team was trying to run to Marc and cheer, Phuwin fell down, and Pond slowed down for him (i say this strictly in the NON romantic sense, but I love their friendship so much)
-> Est and William playfully teasing each other when they were going around with the banners/flags (right in the beginning)
-> William had the time of his life on Ohm Pawat's shoulders
-> Aston jumped into Chokun's arms from quite a distance and Chokun almost effortlessly caught him
-> Tomafox had to be escorted out (pulled out at a very fast pace, more like) i think at least twice because he'd started deflating
-> Phuwin got down on his knees to beg PermPoon to go and stand in the line for the mascot race. PermPoon very gleefully kept ignoring, and Pond stood there part confused part desperate and very much entertained
-> they did finally manage to coax PermPoon to finally behave, with a lot of kisses and bribery from Pond and exasperation and gentle slaps on the head from Phuwin
-> GeminiFourth having the time of their life watching as Phuwin tried to steer PermPoon away from another mascot he was fighting with (i couldn't quite catch who it was, maybe Lunar?)
-> Look Khunoo died (?) and I think Avocean (probably, might want to check that again) tried CPR on him
-> Win Metawin wearing a diamond bedazzled jersey and Prada shoes
-> Dew being the loudest to cheer when Tee scored a goal (or a basket, I'm not too sure)
-> Force and Book just randomly hugging each other (multiple times)
-> the whole mascot race. It was hilarious
-> EarthMix doing one(1) thing (Earth scored a basket from right below it, outside of game time while Mix cheered) and just being there for the funsiesβ¨οΈ
-> while they were standing in the lineup for the basketball teams, for Shadow Eagle, it was Sky-Prem-Nani-Boun, somehow. Boun swapped Nani and Prem and hugged Prem close to him (all while talking with Nani btw, and Sky just managed to not see any of that)
-> the faces of the Shadow Eagle members in the stand when Marc scored that basket. Force, Sky and Win Metawin jumped, Sky started trying to figure out the physics of it, Dew was just too shocked to do anything, Nani straight up dissociated
-> First running the relay even after handing off the baton to Khaotung like what do I even say to that (they lost because Kahotung got too flustered to even run the whole way)
-> Lego's full body reaction to FK's newly wed behavior shenanigans that made them lose
-> Force kissing Book on the forehead before the tug of war. Force did join but was allowed to use only one hand because he's too strong (they still won by a landslide)
-> Dunk sitting behind Joong and covering his eyes and kissing his hair then looking the epitome of innocence when Joong turned back
-> Force lifting Newwie so he could score a basket (he didn't π)
-> Mr. Saturn World fell down and couldn't get up, but EarthMix hugged him and Avocean came to help with a first aid box it was so cute please
-> I am 96% sure Newwie mostly took pictures and funny videos and dramatically fall down that one time than actually play (i strive to be him)
-> Perth got the 69 jersey. I want to know who he killed and what quests he went on.
-> Nanon's mascot trying to show some tummy and Nanon immediately pulling the t-shirt down shaking his head like NO no no no NO.
