prior to the war of the five kings, aylyth served as a cupbearer to stannis baratheon and was a dear friend to princess shireen. rumours claimed that she was the king’s mistress, although evidence never sufficed, and these were fueled by the mutual disdain between her and queen selyse baratheon. it was said that she had northern magic running in her veins, allowing her to dream of events yet to happen, while some said that she dabbled in valyrian blood magic found in the depths of driftmark and dragonstone, dooming the king’s enemies to gruesome fates beyond comprehension. ❜
