#standbyyourtrans today outside the friends meeting house (a little confused as to their policies but I’m not into censorship) a group of us peacefully protested outside a meeting by trans-exclusionary feminists. I couldn’t stay until they left but I have to say many (there are only about 15 of them anyway) took an educational leaflet which I will share soon, only some had really hostile vibes; all encouraging. If you’ve dug yourself a hole and you can see some other avenues of thinking, please remember compassion and empathy, number one. I’m happy to talk to anyone who wants to meet in person. Such a warm and kind bunch of people standing with us today, and some civil (dis)obedience with regards raising questions about toilet use which was great. I feel proud of Manchester and Salford’s queer communities who are embracing everyone who feels at home with us. I feel extremely privileged and loved. I feel like the people in the meeting might not feel as much like that which is why some seem quite angry.
