My sewing machine is at the workshop now. They say it won’t be finished before early October. How am I to survive almost two months without a sewing machine? (idk, possibly like all those times I don’t touch it for months.)
There is an absolute zero of black embroidery floss in all craft stores I have been to, repeatedly, over the last few weeks. Help me, internet, you are my last hope.
I went to the fabric department of the big department store which I heard was slated to be closed down and, thinking it was one of my last chances to do so, bought five (F-I-V-E) metres of their undyed cotton fabric. Then I asked the salesman, and he said, oh no, they’re staying open. I probably could have gotten away with only buying two or three metres or waiting a bit longer until I’ve used up what I had left at home. 🤷♀️ I use a lot of that, and an underskirt alone can eat up at least one metre. Plus, it doesn’t go bad.
Stabby things are easy to repair if they come loose from the things I’ve stabbed them to. I somehow managed to break three needles while doing so, though. (Interestingly enough, just using one needle is way easier and faster than using the multiple needle holder thingy I’ve bought.)
