Recruiters enjoyance with games is actually very very relevant to squid game and his entire being. The recruiter has stated that he was firstly a guard, he had to work his way up to the rank he now has, The Recruiter. And obviously, he has always loved being in the games, being in control and thriving on the fact that he is bigger and stronger than the players, he loves the fact that he's something more relevant than the Players. Which also heavily explains as to why he murdered his father and why he was so utterly gleeful whilst doing so. He thought of himself as something so much more worth than every trash in the existence of squid game, he felt as he were a god, he believed in the fact that he was the most worthy human ever in the entirety of the franchise. Thus leads to him being so psychotic that he even murdered his very own father. The Recruiter absolutely loves games so much just because of the fact that he knows, every opponent he is against with is worse, unworthy mere trash that will lose either way. And he loves dakkji due to the fact that he KNOWS he will win, he relishes on the future win because in his mind, it proves the point of him being better than everyone else, He is so disgustingly arrogant. He likes seeing others play against each other and even participating in playing against another human being due to the fact that it reminds him so much of the actual squid games : 'one wins, the other dies' . And he's so proud of it too, he's very proud of his role in the squid game, he is very happy about it too, Though in some way, he hates being reminded of his past, obviously he used to be poor which is obvious, otherwise he wouldn't be the recruiter, he hates being reminded of being poor, being vulnerable and just a piece of trash like everyone else. But when it comes to the games, he's so extensively happy about them because he knows he'll win, he knows he'll have the power and the upper hand. He will be the god in the world of trash and he can control them and their outcome however he wants. And when he doesn't win, when he doesn't get the upper hand, he visibly lashes out, he gets intimidating, furious even, but we saw in multiple scenes with Gihun, he was still so eerily calm, that's what makes him very special, He's so murderous but he's still so soothing. He wasn't angry when he stomped on bread Infront of homeless people, no, he was immensely mocking them, he was making the horrified, intimidated enough to make himself feel righteous and powerful. The Recruiter is so very complex and so significant to the story, I don't understand how people can seriously think he's irrelevant when he is practically the one who also recruited inho or was a guard whilst inho was a player.
