So, I'm about to start taking birth control (Sprintec) to try and regulate my menstrual cycle. I haven't had a regular cycle ever since I started and deal with extreme pain that may be related to it. My doctor thought birth control might be able to fix those problems, so she prescribed Sprintec. When I looked up the reviews I noticed that some people experienced mild to severe depression and mood swings. That's making me start to worry over whether or not it will adversely affect me, because I already suffer from mild anxiety and infrequent panic attacks. I really don't want those to worsen since university will be back in session in little over a month...
I've had my period for 3 weeks now. I had it late Jan. It stopped for a weekish and it's been back for 3 fucking weeks. I want to scream. I've been in so much pain for 3 weeks.
Nuvaring
So on Dec 17th I started the nuvaring. I've been taking sprintec since august i believe and my new obgyn told me to stop taking the BC and only use the nuvaring. I believe im bipolar or i just have a lot of mental issues perhaps y another name but im just angry all the damn time. I feel (dont know 100%) that since ive stopped taking the bc that it has spiked my hormones. Im even more angry all the time and its to the point of exhaustion and physical pain. Like i normally do this thing where my chest hurts when i get really angry. That used to be rare however but its been ore frequent as of late. Ive been flipping out and ive had so many fights with my bf over the span of two weeks bc of how agitated i am. He does say stupid shit but normally im better at brushing it off? Idk but im wondering has this happened to anyone else? Have u switched from a pill form of BC to the nuvaring and experienced ur hormones being all over the place? ive noticed that when i started missing my BC ( i have shit memory which is why my ob changed me to nuva in the first place) that my hormones were all over the place. So now im thinking i might be crashing or going through withdrawal maybe from the former BC and just need to wait a month for them to even out and be completely free from the effects of the other BC. idk anyone have experience with this??
I’ve been on sprintec for almost 4 weeks... and I’m still bleeding. I switched from depo, had to start taking multiple pills a day on daysee to stop the irregular bleeding which was caused from depo and then I saw the doctor for a pap then she prescribed me sprintec (I keep wanting to spell it springtec) and I’ve still been bleeding for a couple of weeks. This is obviously not the right birth control for me. Sighs...
