If we are to talk about the (Im guessing) typical way tf fans are like about fan kids: the former of the ship fumbles yet again, the latter was the carrier, but the former took the kid under his wings because... he's the autobot *and* autobot hero. Reputational type of matters, but of course it wasnt easy thx to the origin. They (kid) were actually seeing both almost equally at first, nextly it was mostly Springer, but that shifted to Blitz some time later when they got the opportunity and he talked more about what was up in his life and with Springer. Eventually they got combat training from him and not really Springer. I got more regarding their relationship with blitzwing, but it leans into humanformers.

I dont know if this is similar to a common trope, I dont really read transformers fankid stories honestly

Hi Springblitz fanaccidentalanon! I was just thinking about you yesterday like "damn they didn't tell me what they had in mind 💔" so it's nice to see you back!

Something always fun about crossfaction children is wondering where the child is going to stay because yeah... Reputation aside I don't think the autobots would think that's a good idea to leave a youngling with the decepticons (especially if said decepticon is Blitzwing lol) Still, Blitzwing would probably not be too keen on letting those guys take his kid away from him and (agaisnt popular opinion) I don't think the autobots try to completely separate them if they saw how much he cares about his child. So like, if the child is born to two (or more idk) decepticons and is relatively taken care of they mind their own business, but if the sire is one of their own they would try to step in and assure that the kid is able to have a good life. Yeyyy co-parenting!

Also lol Springer fumbling (he would). Yeah, something like this is not doing his autobot hero reputation any good, is it? Tssss. Did the changes on how often the kid sees both of the creators happened for anything in particular? I mean, I can imagine why, but I would like to know what you have in mind! I would also like to know more about their relationship with Blitz, even if it's humanformers, anything is welcome 👀

I don't know what are you exactly referring to with "the Springblitz thing", but I can talk about Springblitz in general!

So, the origins.

I remember seeing this post about how "Octane and Sandstorm Starscream's ghost were supposed to be Blitzwing and Springer" and being so amused by the concept of those two as a couple (I also hit the emo wolf pose for a minute because damn they keep taking the Blitzwing yaoi away from us 💔)

But yeah, I liked the idea.

Now, I do feel the need to clarify that, unlike Octane, Sandstorm was always meant to be in the episode. He is listed as "Springer" in the dialogue script, but it's likely to be a transcription error rather than a "switch" like Blitzwing and Octane, since Sandstorm appears in the early cast for the episode.

Still, while we were never meant to have Springblitz in the first place, I had already grown fond of the concept by the time I checked the sources, so it was like whatever life goes on.

Onto the ship:

Springer would be so fucking embarrassed. The average bot already finds thinking that Blitzwing is hot a humbling experience, but Springer is an autobot hero!!! He is supposed to be above things like that!!! Still, everytime he looks at Blitzwing while punching his face he can't help but think of him as... Attractive? Question mark? He doesn't let it get in the way of the fight, of course, but he still feels like he needs to get rid of the feelings as soon as possible because oh my godddd

Blitzwing, on his part, doesn't notice anything at first, but as soon he hears the rumors? He gets really annoying about it, not missing a chance to taunt him about it mid swordfight. "Ohhhh you want to fuck me so bad it makes you look stupid"

It pretty much stays like that for a while, fighting eachother with this... tension, but then they get too close and well, one thing leds to another...

Springer thinks about it as a slip, but can he really claim that after it becomes a bit of a regular thing? He tries not to think about it.

Blitzwing does not think about it, he is having fun and Springer is not half bad for an autobot, so who cares really.

But then the Springblitzling happens.

Ngl, I didn't have a lot about them at the start. Just the possibility of them being a thing in my springblitzcee fic and how them having purple and green in their palette would make them look like a constructicon (something Blitzwing would hate lol). Now that the springblitz fanaccidentalchild anon has make me think more about it, I can imagine being a little wild. Springer will not hesitate to jump into a dangerous situation and Blitzwing is like that; combine them both and you get someone with the self-preservation of a cave diver. It doesn't help that one tends to lack self-preservation by default when younger, so they probably had to be keep on a leash to stop them from jumping off a cliff or something lol. I also can imagining them wanting to be a hero more than anything and not being humble about it. They are going to be the best because they come from the best! (Though I can also see them a bit ashamed of being the kid of a decepticon, trying to overcompensate because of it)
