The definitive and final ranking of seasons, from worst to best
DISCLAIMER: This is not âjust my opinionâ. It is based on evidence in the form of lists of pros and cons of the seasons. Anyone who calls it any form of opinion will be either keelhauled or fed to 682.Â
4. Fall.
Ugh. Fall can literally go burn in hell. Not only is the weather inconsistent and youâre either too hot or too cold, but leaf blowers drive you nuts, school starts again, pumpkin spice is actually gross, sweaters and scarves are in no way cute unless youâre a mannequin or model, and all the fun stuff is closed because itâs cold out. The only good part is Halloween and the pretty colours.Â
3. Spring.
No one is denying that spring is awesome. You get to finally play outside without getting frostbite, the flowers are pretty, baby animals are born, itâs warm but not so hot thereâs sweat and bugs, thereâs March break, and above all, EASTER. But with all that comes extreme rain, end-of-year exams, and allergies. March starts off crap, gets better... but in May when all the holidays in spring are over, all thatâs left is rain, tests, allergies, and spring cleaning. Spring, we love you, but we still prefer...
2. Winter.
I know what youâre thinking. âBut itâs so cold out, why is winter above spring?â Well, in winter, you get season-exclusive activities that you canât do in spring, fall, or summer. Snowflakes are pretty, and even better when you pack them into a fort and ammunition for a snowball war. The real crowner is sledding, possibly the greatest winter activity EVER. You can skate too. Then afterwards, you can go inside and have hot chocolate with marshmallows, sprinkles, whipped cream, and cookie crumbs on top. Figure skating, bobsledding, skiing, etc. is on TV, plus hockey if youâre into that sort of thing. And Christmas! The best holiday is in winter, with the presents, songs, food, decorations, parties, and movies that come with it. Winter is almost the best, surpassed only by...
1. Summer.Â
No school. Water parks. Beach. Music festivals. Sleeping in. Summer fashion like flip-flops and sunglasses. Water fights. Ice cream. Longer days meaning more fun. Camp. Lemonade. Summer hit songs. All this and so much more. Literally the ONLY downside is the bugs, and they can be repelled with bug spray. You donât have to worry about homework or classes and can spend all day at the pool, beach, fair, waterslides, summer camp, amusement park, and so many more places that are only open in summer. You can have ice cream, popsicles, snowcones, lemonade, and so many other summer-exclusive snacks. You donât have to spend forever putting on hats, gloves, scarves, etc. before you leave the house, and can switch to sunglasses, fun T-shirts, and flip-flops that show off ankle bracelets. Not only that, but itâs not fucking cold all the time for a change! Winter and spring, we love you (not you fall) but nothing can compare to summer. The undisputed queen of seasons.Â
When Winter would not give over her Time to Spring

You can do it little blossoms. Donât let the cold take your beauty.
Garden Report 20.03.14
Iâm so tired (physically, mentally) and so much rain (and hail!) that this will be a mini report. I noticed Thursday that the broccoli and brussel sprouts had germed ⌠I didnât get a make the rose for the can so these were stranded little guys that I sprinkled a little potting soil over then misted with the handy dandy squirt mister I picked up from the budget bin.
I am giving birdlets two suet baskets. It takes them about three days to finish a block (I have the lay in of suet staggered so they both arenât empty at once). It has been cold! like Spring changed its mind or old man winter refuses to release his grip.
I was gifted some vegetable and flower seeds today which was a pleasant surprise. I was so thankful and enthused that they told me they had more coming in the post and would give me more! Such a blessing. I promised to share if I could.
I see that the university and âpermaculture guildâ has taken over the local seed and plant exchange. There is now a âsuggestedâ sliding scale âentrance donationâ towards the end of the month... if it is not shut down as more people panic about the c-virus. If the university is involved, it will evolve to more unsharing of goods and info. People (read locals) get tired of the university snobs and put downs as they (uni) sweeps away the old fashion, casual, back yard appeal. I have seen this with several community events the uni takes over, it becomes a low turn out, money event that only the few students attend. I do hope I am wrong.

can't kill the old man
the white turned green wicked winter winds burned red and died beneath blue skies we went outside and played under a leatherback sun but then vengeance came forth revenge swept in from the north the wicked winter winds were back the rain grew cold aging before my eyes turning my world gray and white
same trail, different weather.
