#spring revolution

Today marks a thousand days since the military coup in Burma. The military had lost the democratic elections and decided they would use brute force and ammunition power to lock up elected officials and unjustly rule the country. On February 1st, 2021, inauguration day for Burma suddenly puts Burma back into the dark ages.

When civilians, women, children, elderly people came out to protest peacefully, the military responded by shooting into the crowds as well as using tear gas to corner teenagers to beat them until bones were crushed and broken.

The military was given an order: aim for the head.

Many have been arrested and tortured in prison.

So it's been 1000 days of civil unrest. People continue to protest. The Civil Disobedient Movement carries on. Civilians have had to flee into the jungle of Thai Burma border to take up arms with what little they have to defend themselves against a country's powerful military.

When the Myanmar military slaughters civilian lives, all we get from world powers are their spoken words of condemnation. No aid, no help. They fail to recognize our National Unity Government, thus barring them from being able to take actual steps as a government.

All we get are words. No actual help.

1000 days.

And we are still fighting injustice.

Our people continue to get murdered. No weapons, no aid, no protection. They are sitting ducks-- easy targets.

However, we tell ourselves that our Spring Revolution will succeed. We've lost too many and sacrificed too much to allow tyranny to triumph.

-Anti-coup thingyan pot(a-tar-o) strike. A-tar-o is a traditional clay pot which is always set during Thingyan(Myanmer New Year Festival) period.

-Motorcycle strike in Sagaing.

-Mandalay: Protesters showed condemnation towards the slow progress of UN and Russia and China(the countries which are on Myanmar terrorists’s side).

-Terrorists attacked Tamu, Sagaing State since 6am. The locals had to hide in "Grace" hospital and a methodist church due to constant gunshots. One of innocent people who passed away on that day was a 7-year-old girl. It was reported that she was hit by a bullet while walking with her mother.

-Mayangone, Yangon: Country/rural life strike occured as protesters donning farmer hats and carrying a-tar-o expressed rejection to the coup.

-Yay City, Mon State: Terrorists set fire to the monastery because the monk abbot didn’t let them camp in the monastery.

-Mon youths from Paung township staged a night protest against military dictatorship.

Says a youth in Myanmar when asked if they’re afraid. One would think these young people would be afraid of losing their life like those they have witnessed being murdered right in front of them but no, they're afraid that those that have lost their lives have done so in vain if Myanmar doesn't get democracy. Similar responses are uttered across the nation. They are unarmed civilians up against the military that doesn’t hesitate to shoot. A regime that has threatened the public that they can kill 500 people in one day if they want.

March 27th, 2021 (Armed Forces Day) was one of the worst days for Myanmar Nationals. Over a hundred people, including children, were murdered. As someone on the outside, I thought for sure after such continuous brutal attacks the worst day would mean people would get discouraged. But instead people came back out just as they always had to protest Myanmar’s Military regime (aka Tatmadaw). For two months, every day, they continue to voice their objection. When out on the streets they can only protect themselves with homemade shields against military grade weapons.

The military is killing off unarmed citizens, going as far as to use grenades and air strikes against ethnic groups of Myanmar. While people flee to Thailand, Thailand’s government had turned them away. And if that wasn’t cruel enough, Thailand had blocked aid that was going to Myanmar Ethnic Refugees. [X] 👇

People have been shot dead as they’re heading off to work or simply walking with friends. 

As civilians try to help those that are lying on the streets injured or retrieve the bodies of those that are shot dead, Security Forces target and shoot at them.

People have gotten tattoos to show support for the revolution. So what the tatmadaw has started doing is detaining random people, women, men, whoever, and stripped them naked to search for tattoos on their persons. If found, they will BURN it off. They are heinous, sadistic motherfuckers. The images i’ve seen of charred, burned flesh on the living are absolutely nauseating. If no tattoos are found they will still beat up the person they’ve detained. 

I saw a video of a public execution where a man was blind folded, walked out, made to kneel, then they shot him in the head.

For some fucked up reason security forces are snatching the bodies of those they have slain. Then they return the corpses totally desecrated, beyond recognition with missing organs and parts. [X]

Abduction. Anyone can be abducted for any reason. There are no laws or regulations anymore. Loved ones go missing. Loved ones get detained and no one hears from them. Some return brutalized, some return dead.  

They are arresting reporters and journalists. Every media that is not the military’s propaganda mouth piece has had their license revoked. And still these brave journalists continue to report from within the country.

Security forces have started to abduct those with large social media presence, therefore they are targeting any celebrity and artists. [X] Paing Takhon is one of many celebrities who have been detained  (Sorry, but I don’t know many celebrities of Burma and he seems to be the one most people talk about) 👇

It seems international countries and the UN can’t help Burma. Some can’t help, some are refusing to help. Thailand’s government  going as far as to block aid for those fleeing their war-warned homes that had been bombed by Myanmar’s military. ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) have countries made up of authoritarian regimes of their own and do not wish to intervene with the crisis that is happening in Myanmar. 

People of Burma rise each and every day like the morning sun despite the violence. No one is safe. Even if one doesn’t participate, Security Forces will still raid homes, shoot into homes indiscriminately. The people of Myanmar have decided to never give up until the Tatmadaw is gone. We’ve had many failed revolutions but this one is going strong even after over two months into the coup and weeks of murderous spree from the military.

I don’t have many pictures and videos to share because they are much too disturbing (So imagine what people of Burma are witnessing on daily basis)

The death toll has risen to 660. This is without records of those that are being murdered outside of large cities due to myanmar military attacking ethnic minority villages.

Myanmar Military has now ordered executions of 23 people that they abducted. These people were not even present at their own trial when they were ordered to be executed.

Ladies donned moustaches and beards whilst gentlemen wore gowns.

The game was stronger in Loikaw.

The main purpose of Reversed Strike was to highlight the people’s lives being disrupted by the military coup.

In the first photo, the red words say “Reversed Strike. Due to crazy dictators, we become abnormal.” The blue words say “Give back our lives.”

In the second photo, the placard says “MWD is lying. MRTV is lying. Thinking evil, the murderers are on air.”
