Zarlie 1.0

What made me ship it? HAVE YOU SEEN THEM they were up in each other's faces from day 1.

What are my favorite things about the ship? The enemies to lovers, the Amaya baggage, both of them being deeply broken people compensating for it in different ways, literally what is there not to love?

Unpopular opinion: While I obviously love the Zarlie kiss very much, I'm kind of glad it didn't actually happen in canon because that would have been such a let-down. Getting that kiss before they both promptly leave the show would have just pissed everyone off.

Zarlie 2.0

What made me ship it? HAVE YOU SEEN THEM they were like here's a new Zari and they're going to eyefuck immediately

What are my favorite things about the ship? They're fun. They're sexy. The show tried to keep them apart but Tala and Maisie were an unstoppable force at that point.

Unpopular opinion: I honestly don't know

What made me ship it? I think we have to blame Nate Heywood here. He hit them with the buddy system and it was all over from there.

What are my favorite things about the ship? They're both so jaded, cynical, and wounded, but they love each other so hard. They just fit in a way that I don't think anyone could have anticipated. Olivia and LIz's off-screen friendship bleeds so much into their on-screen dynamic. And for once, the show leaned into it and gave them half a season of space to grow together.
