Charged Drops Don't Splash
When a droplet falls on a surface, it spreads itself horizontally into a thin lamella. Sometimes -- depending on factors like viscosity, impact speed, and air pressure -- that drop splashes, breaking up along its edge into myriad smaller droplets.
