Forgot to mention this wonderful Purple Gallinule I saw for the first time in my bird treks and a sighting in the marsh the Green Heron was in.
A green dragonfly along the Anahuac National Wildlife Visitor's Centers trail.
I found a Green Heron while birding around my local marshes and was hunting a few fish.

This little photo of a Wheel Bug on my mom’s truck while we were northeast of Houston, They are related to Assassin Bugs, but they aren’t much aggressive as their relatives unless provoked which they will bite you leaving behind a lot of pain and have your wound from the bite heat up and start forming a white crust around the bite. At least for the good news it isn’t venomous or will give you disease like other Assassin Bugs. It’s better to handle them with hard garden gloves.
Even they are beneficial to gardens reducing populations of what insect harms your garden, except they will prey on ladybugs and bees (also beneficial to gardens).
