It was a great day to spin together with a friend. Got loads done, they also got a lot done, and we had great tea. Long story short, some singles that @guardevoir and I spun up today.
The blue is corriedale and the pink green mix is a merino bamboo mix we're spinning for a wedding present. Second colour will be done by me (White) and then we barber stripe ply it together. At least in our minds, that should look fantastic.

New Floof aquired
Ordered some odds and ends on sunday and they're already here! Featuring the boxes for my new lazy kate and spoolwinder.
The carded wool is all german mountain sheep. Planning to make a barber stripe yarn with it. They also wrapped my friends spool inside it for shipping, which is smart.
The white is Shetland andethe colourful mix next to it is bamboo and Merino. And if you would like to know what I am most excited for, behold! A sample of baby camel merino mix:
I ended up spinning the zwartbles combed top; which it turns out is much more fun to spin than the merino I’ve tried so far.
These skeins obviously haven’t been rinsed or thwacked yet, but even so it looks like I’m putting too much twist in. Anyone have tips on how to tell how much twist is enough?

I have a new blind bag of mill ends coming in soon, so it's time to spin up all the pretty colour floofs and mill ends in my stash for technique practice.
Today's techniques are spinning from the fold and longdraw and these floofs are corrierale (x2), Merino, and some mystery wool. May be cormo?
Some test Spinning for one of the possible projects for Tour de Fleece. This wool is called polar fox and I have a sweater amount in my stash (in another colour, got some white specifically for tests). Thinking of possibly chain plying it. See if I like the look of it. Ignore the shark house shoes in the background.
