(Angel leans over Vidette, who is flopped facedown on the couch in the staff lounge upstairs, limbs twisted limply in positions only she could possibly find comfortable. He prods her head a little, but receives no reaction. He scritches her ear, and her tail starts to wag.)

Angel: -Still alive! I- uh- I think. As alive as you can be in Hell, at least. You doin' alright there, baby?

Vidette: (muffled prolonged bleat)

Angel: uh-huh... uhm- Al, you got a translation for us? She's got certain sounds I get in context, but this is a new one for me, and I ain't that fluent in doe just yet.

Alastor: It was merely an overly-emphatic whine. A call for affection, if you will, but with the sort of pitch you'd get from a fawn. Normally aimed at a parent or caregiving figure, but I suppose it can apply to a partner as well.

I just said "I am married" and the reply was "Yes, marriage is nice. I only found that out after I got married" and I'm not entirely sure what that means, but it sounds sweet I think??
