ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!! I like being upfront and honest with you all, so let me be blunt: the past two parts I was a pretty big grouch. I don't know why, but the last 3 days I've just felt really down and "out of it", and I think that was reflected in my Quitland posts. I might've seemed a little more negative then usual. But today? TODAY?!?!? It's time for some REAL Quitting! I feel much better, so let's hop right to it shall we?

There was no post yesterday because there really was absolutely nothing that happened. Well, technically there were two things, but only one of them was a real development. Let's start with the lesser of the two:

29 has a crush on 32. Another random crush between two kinda random Quits, but I'm feeling positive today! Maybe these two will become a totally awesome pair later? Or maybe we don't need them to...because...

Wow, now THAT'S a throwback, huh? I actually had someone ask about 18 and 12 today, and I hadn't answered specifically because I didn't want to spoil this! For those who may have forgotten, 18 fell for 12 WAAAAAY back in Part 3, and since then they hadn't done much besides become good friends. But today 18 finally decided to confess!

And it worked! The hot Bikini Quit X aloof Nerd Quit Yaoi is real! Hope we see more of them, I've always liked 18 and 12 but never really got to talk about them. Oh, and 12 is wearing a beanie now. After that we got one more romantic development that actually happened today instead of yesterday:

Another one I can't say much on, since neither Quit is too notable. But! Again! Positive!

Alright, now for a bit of a random detour (the best parts of these posts): hair! Recently there's been a hair style BOOM in Quitland, many Quits asking to change their hair. It was all started by Quit 15 and his shocking brown hair a few days ago but now we've got a whole small army of newly haired Quits. So many that I don't think I could give them each their own photo, so I put 'em all together!

From left to right, we have: Quit 7, 15, 39, 41, 58, and...9?

9 is the Quit that had his heart utterly crushed by 30 a few parts back, and you might be confused as to why he's here considering his hair is no different. Well...it's kinda confusing. But we'll talk about him in a moment, first let's address the (other) elephant in the room: Quit 39! Many of you know and love Quit 39, and if you don't recognize that number it's because I frequently refer to them as a different name: Biker Quit! A member of the beloved ICSS, who's going out with her fellow ICSS member Chicken Quit! Now she has this absolutely ROCKIN' red hair, and I'm TOTALLY in love with it. It fits her biker outfit amazingly, she might be the most stylish Quit on the island now?!? Sorry 11. OK now let's address 9. See, 9 had asked to change his hair a day or so ago, and I obviously accepted. But when I checked on him the day after...his hair wasn't changed at all, and instead all he had done is take his hat off. Really weird. I'm guessing he had rolled to change his hair but had just landed on the hair style he already had, which seems to have kinda confused the game into taking his hat off but not changing his hair or treating it as a hair change. If my theory is true, this is an absolutely hilarious edge-case that I kinda can't believe made it through testing. Still, I wanted to include him in the "changed hair gang" because it felt wrong otherwise. He changed his hair...just...into the exact same hair he had before. Technically counts! ...OK...enough talking about hair and random relationship stuff! I've been avoiding it this WHOLE post, and I KNOW you ALL have been thinking about it...

I'm sure you all know what this message means...today, at the early early time of 7 AM in the morning...

Today, our beloved pairing of 28 x 48...whom we've watched develop since day 1...finally gave us our very first Quit baby!!!

FINALLY!!!!

Now to address some quick questions before we delve into it, I had some rules about babies. I'll make it quick since most of them are pretty obvious. I DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT THE BABY! I let the game decide the gender, design, personality, voice, etc and did not change a SINGLE thing*. Obviously we wanted to see how a Quit baby would differ from the 60 identical clones, so changing anything about the baby would completely deny one of the core ideas of this series! *OK I actually did change two things but you'll understand why in a moment

Alright let's get into it!!! Let's see what the little bugger looks like!

It ended up being a boy! Now don't be alarmed by the strange face, once they grew up their face was identical to the other Quits. Which I guess is to be expected when both parents have the same face...but that doesn't mean they don't have OTHER differences...

Now, at the time of writing this, the voting for what we name baby Quits hasn't finished. But it only has 30 minutes left...so it seems as though Quitlings has won! I'll make a more put-together post about it tomorrow morning, but it seems as though this babies name will be "Quitling 1"! For now though, the Quits named the baby...and we got...

"Jo"...I'm gonna be honest...it's pretty cute. So cute that I kinda want to keep it in some way...someone in the comments of the naming poll said we could combine the Quit-given name with "Quitling" or "Quitten" and I'm pretty fond of that idea, so this would be "Quitling Jo" instead of "Quitling 1". But I dunno, what do you guys think?

I'm so happy for them...and I've got the ENTIRE baby montage to put in this post!

I SERIOUSLY recommend watching it to the end, because it includes the reveal of what Jo sounds like and...well...let's just say he definitely doesn't sound like the other Quits.

Alright, now that Jo is born and grown up, let's talk a little more about the tyke. We ALL have had MANY questions on what a Quit baby would be like, so it's time to answer a few! If you watched the video to the end you'd have already seen this, but Jo is actually NOT the same personality type as the other Quits! He was born with a different personality entirely, that being...

Outgoing Charmer! Wow, its like he's the polar opposite of the other Quits...this will DEFINITELY be a much welcome change of pace to Quitland. You might've also noticed that his hair seems to be the only visual difference between him and the Quits (well, besides the pink shirt). He seems to be the same size, weight, and face as the Quits. At least I couldn't see any differences, maybe his face is just a tad bigger? We'll need more Quit babies for more research on if a Quit child can have a different face than its parents. Jo here seems to imply they won't, but a single example could just be a coincidence.

The only change I made to it was giving Jo all 3 possible dating preferences and the two event outfit options. These are the two things I changed that I mentioned earlier, and I hope you guys can understand why lol. Actually...speaking about that...here's another question I haven't even thought to ask yet. What do we DO about these kids? As in, do they stay kids? Do we eventually give them age-up stuff so they can be adults? I hadn't really thought about it until Jo was born. I'll leave it up to you guys to decide. For now I'm content with Jo being a kid, just to see how the Quits might treat a child differently. One idea I've been throwing around in my brain is: what if we keep baby Quits as "kids" until they reach a certain level? Like maybe 5 or 10. That way they have to be a kid for at least a few days, and then once we've seen them interact enough to become a higher level we can age them up and allow them to get into relationships with other adult Quits. You guys can let me know what you think!

OK, PHEW! That was a LOT of typing! I'd love to get straight into talking about Jo and the changes he brings to the island, but I'm afraid Jo spent most of today staying within his home "TOIR" ("THE OTP IS REAL") without interacting much with the Quits of the outside world. Makes sense, he was JUST born... So we'll have to spend the next few days studying this new form of Quit-life extensively! I will be keeping a very, VERY watchful eye on Jo! There is research to be done!!!!!!!

Alright, that's all for today's episode. This is just the start of a new era of Quitland...with Jo, things have changed DRASTICALLY. We now have 61 Miis, and also the first Mii with a different personality type and age. It's time to see how the Quits react to such radical shift... ...but before that, funny pictures!!!

Gotta be honest, I was never crazy about 58 before...but the hair and outfit duo looks pretty damn good. And since they live in TOIR, I see a lot of them.
