Delight in the bold flavors of Sichuan cuisine with these spicy and savory wontons in chili oil. Perfect for spice lovers!
Ingredients: 1 pack of wonton wrappers. 250g ground pork. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon ginger, minced. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine. 1 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorns, crushed. 1/2 teaspoon sugar. 1/4 cup green onions, chopped. 1/4 cup water. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Spicy chili oil for serving. Chopped cilantro for garnish.
Instructions: Crush Sichuan peppercorns, add sugar, chop green onions, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and mix the ground pork and veggies together in a bowl. Combine well. Put a little of the pork mixture on top of every wonton wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it in half to make a triangle. To seal the wonton, press the edges together. Warm up a big pot of water. The wontons should be cooked for five to seven minutes, or until they float to the top. Put Sichuan peppercorns in a pan and heat it up while the wontons are cooking. Make it smell good. With a slotted spoon, take the cooked wontons out of the pot and put them on a plate to serve. Pour the hot oil with Sichuan peppercorns into the wontons. Add as much or as little spicy chili oil as you like to make it hot. Add chopped cilantro as a garnish. Enjoy while hot!
