Making these soup dumplings from scratch takes a lot of work, but the tasty filling inside a delicate wrapper makes it all worth it.

Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup hot water. 1/2 pound ground pork. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon ginger, minced. 1/4 cup green onions, chopped. 1/4 cup chicken broth. Salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and hot water. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then cover and let it rest for 30 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix the ground pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onions, chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into a thin circle about 3 inches in diameter. Place a spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pleat the edges to seal, creating a dumpling shape. Place the dumplings in a steamer and steam for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through. Serve hot and enjoy your homemade soup dumplings!
