Most of you already know that over the past few months, I successfully “removed” an 8mm kidney stone — something I had to wait nearly four months for.

I kept postponing this trip, and with it, the peace I only find under the sea.

These photos from my dives hopefully capture what it feels like to be down there again — where everything slows down and goes quiet.

Bridal Veil Falls, Spearfish, South Dakota, USA

The past three days we have been hanging out in Spearfish with family and friends to participate in a charity golf tournament. The tournament is a fundraiser for the Hunter Tillman Foundation, which was established in remembrance of Hunter, the nephew of our good friend Roger. Hunter passed away in April 2019 and the foundation provides scholarships to individuals working toward a degree in the medical or special needs fields. This was our first time participating and it will definitely NOT be our last - it was a blast! Our team for the tournament was myself, Doug, our son Dan, and Doug's brother Bob.
