Spot is definetly overprotective of David. Davey didn't tell him he was getting bullied at school. Frankly he never planned to but one day Spot wanted to pick him up and walk him home before they start work. That's when he noticed his boyfriend was being picked on by a few of his classmates. At first it seemed just like they were teasing but then Davey said something back quietly and one of the bullies hit the boy square on the face. That's when spot decided he had to intervene. (this would make quite a fanfic damn)
They both dislike publically displaying affection. They hold hands and kiss when nobody is around but the Newsies didn't even realise they were a couple.
They're both asexual but they love to cuddle so much. Davey is generally not a very touchy person but being held by Spot is somewhat calming.
Spot spends a lot of time at David's place even when he's not exackly invited. Davey could be washing the dishes or working on his essays and Spot would still stick around because he just liked to be in his boyfriends presence. He loves to suprise Davey when he's so focused on work with hugs from the back and kisses on the cheek. He also tells him to take a break which Davey wouldn't normally do.
Davey loves to "borrow" Spot's clothes. Shirts specifically and while Spot pretends to be annoyed he thinks Davey looks cute in them.
Also Davey tutors Spot. Spot has basic education- he can read and write and knows the basics of math but Davey teaches him bits about history, Spot's rights as a worker and US citizen etc.
well i was gonna post a new newsies fic tonight but I'm gonna practice self restraint and maybe rewrite it in the morning lol anyway it's a spavid fic they kinda have me in a chokehold rn

I try not to think about David too much. He talks a lot so if you start thinking about him, suddenly he's stuck there in your head, just talking, and it's hard to stop thinking about him. He's always got something to say, that's for sure. Usually it's pretty smart, too. If I did think about him, I'd probably think he's alright.
