You know lets just hope Bradamante's personality is on the likable side then. I mean... then again... she is a Paladin of Charlemagne. Whom if I remember are definitely made up of some... strange individuals cough cough roland cough. And Charlemagne and Karl de Grosse did say that Astolfo is one of the more reliable knight, calling him a genius or sane one among them... hmm... why do I have a feeling that Paladins of Charlemagne are going to surpass Knights of the Round as a group of weirdos...
There is no way I can like her personality with that fucking voice they gave her. And let me be... skeptical that they’ll respect her character since “I must save my lover no matter what, get the fuck out of my way, I’ll end all of you, I don’t give a shit if we’re on different sides of war and religion we will be together, will marry and will be happy” is her driving force for the entire poem and such a character wouldn’t give a flying shit about romancing the self-insert. I still remember the rage - thankfully contained- when Tomoe was revealed to be forever in love with her husband and not being even remotely interested in “Guda”.
It’s a good thing Ariosto’s been dead for centuries because he’d be appalled at this (do trust me, a guy who in the 1500′ writes about how sexist and unfair it is that a man who conquer many women is seen as a model and a woman who has a single lover is a slut to be shamed if not put to death would not be pleased about what Type Moon did to his character).
And please do not remind me how half the characters I knew and loved in the Furioso are now complete jokes in a franchise I -once?- love loved.
The KotR are treated with much more respect in designs, lore and personalities it stopped being funny long ago.
