C- confession? Who confesses first what do they say how does the other react?

I made these in my notes app so there may be small inconsistencies.

there’s barely any warnings it’s mostly just fluff

A-affection? How do they show love? Who’s more affectionate etc?

In the beginning Hiccup is more affectionate and sparrow is more skittish. 

He’ll hold their hand and put a hand on their shoulder and keep them physically close.

Though once sparrow gets more comfortable they’ll start clinging to him, hugging him often, nuzzling into his neck, and sitting closer to him. Putting their face in his chest cause he’s warm :)

Constant hand holding, sparrow would make him special cloaks so they can wrap eachother in them (probably night and light fury inspired cloaks)

B-before the relationship how do they act around eachother? How do the people around them react?

Hiccup is a bit afraid of them considering the murder however I feel he’d be interested in them and then delve into an obsession with trying to find them and figure out what they’re doing. Initially being more weary and curious about them.

Sparrow has been watching him since they hear he was giving viggo problems, they find him very attractive and almost treat him like a god. Though they’re afraid of what he thinks of them and is highly sensitive to any negative attention.

C- confession? Who confesses first what do they say how does the other react?

Hiccup confesses first, sparrow would take it to the grave (in the odyssey rider universe they do but in this alternative universe he tells them and they’re happy together)

He’d find them protecting him in the shellfire episode getting feral and agressive towards all the hunters and especially viggo while disguised (so no eye markings or circlet they look just kinda like a pretty lady) and as he just pulls them away into a secluded area and confesses there.

“You just- gods stop getting into so much trouble for me you’re gonna get killed and I- I don’t know what I’d do without you… I’d be dead if you weren’t here. Sparrow. I want you to join me. Permanently. Not just as an ally… something more…” 

As he holds their hands and holds them while everything around them is ablaze.

Sparrow would probably be speechless and just rest into his arms and whisper “…I’d like that… you mean a lot to me too hiccup…”

To be fair he canonically survives in the episodes sparrow appears but in the odyssey universe things are a lot more dangerous. Viggo has to combat sparrow somehow and they’re a lot more aggressive than hiccup meaning his fleets are at least 5 times stronger than they are in the show.

D-dreams? What do they dream of doing with their partner?

Sparrow would want marriage and children but they’re also afraid of disappointing hiccup or future children so they don’t push it.

They dream of finding out who they are, who they are supposed to be and a happy life and family with hiccup that’s filled with life and happiness where they don’t need to feel like they have to carry the weight of the world and it’s future.

Hiccup would want marriage and children too but he’s the first one to bring it up. 

He’d want to hold them in bed all day and not have to worry about the world and just focus on them. He’d want to hold them while falling through the sky and let toothless catch them.

E-Ending. If their relationship were to end how would it go (tw violence and su!c!d3 mentions)

If hiccup dies sparrow goes on a rampage and ends themself to stay with him.

If sparrow dies hiccup does on a rampage and deals with the grief and ultimately blames himself.

If sparrow thinks hiccup is in danger because of them they’ll likely start trying to avoid him (this happens in canon but banshee picks them up repeatedly and puts them in hiccups arms)

Hiccup might break up with them because of the violence but he knows they can change he just needs to make them think they don’t have to kill anymore.

F-Flirting? Who flirts? Who gets flustered? How do they flirt?

Sparrow doesn’t flirt at all in the beginning they’re more awkward than hiccup is. They get really flustered when hiccup flirts with them.

When they start flirting though it really flusters hiccup if he doesn’t flirt back.

Their flirting style is witty and maybe even a little suggestive (in like a make out session way they may be 18+ but I’m a minor) (won’t be for any much longer though.)

Hiccups flirting style is similar to sparrows but a lot more passive aggressive or like . “Why are you spending  so much time with the others when you can spend time between the wall and me instead?”

G-gifts? What gifts do they give to eachother?

Sparrow only makes hand made gifts and puts a lot of thought into it. (not using a HTTYD reference for this) Oh you like the jewelry box in chapter 9 of beast yeast when eternal sugar cookie throws hollyberry  cookie into it? I can make you that. Kind of thought. 

For the betrothal gift they’d likely gift him an adjustable locket made of toothless’ shedded scales in the shape of a heart. And when it opens up there’s a little painting of their two symbols (hiccups Viking skull and sparrows four-pointed star)

Hiccup would likely make them their armor and new weapons and maybe something sentimental or comforting like a plushie of some sort. I feel like he’d often give them artworks as gifts. Like a painting of the two of them or of their favorite myth. Especially Odysseus and Penelope.

Obviously he’s gonna give them the betrothal gift his mother got and sparrow would probably be extra sentimental because valka mentored them and then they got separate and they remember her telling them about it and sparrow and hiccup would break down crying in each others arms not telling eachother why they are.

H-hugging

Sparrow has tight long but soft hugs. Protective in a way. They play with his hair while hugging him.

Hiccup has firm and soft hugs. He’s afraid of losing people or having them leave him. He also probably didn’t get a lot of affection from stoick so he’s most likely touch starved.

I-intimacy?

Sparrow prefers to be more intimate, their favorite moments with hiccup is either when they have adrenaline rushes together and have bursts of energy or when they have their thighs around his waist, hands in his hair and his face in their neck with their bodies pressed up against eachother. 

Hiccup has more casual intimacy, holding their hands, shoulders, upper thigh when sitting down together. Always keeping them close to reassure himself that they’re still there. He wants to make sure they know their worth and reassure them that he won’t be leaving them any time soon.

J- jealousy? Who gets jealous more and how do they express it?

Sparrow doesn’t really get jealous or at least they don’t realize they do. It’s more insecure jealousy where they’re afraid he’s found someone else who isnt flawed whatsoever. But they don’t really talk about it and bottle it up the only thing they really do is try to give him affection during or after he’s talking or interacting with the other person. Though this only really happens with strangers. 

When it comes to people they don’t like or trust they get more protective if anything, holding him closely and tightly to them while giving the other person the death glare or staring them down. (Especially with hunters or people who want to harm hiccup though the last one isn’t jealousy at all.)

Hiccup does get jealous usually when he notices they’re being flirted with and they just don’t realize. He doesn’t like thinking about potentially losing them to someone he thinks is more attractive or stronger than him. So usually he’ll give the other person a glare as he walks away with sparrow. This usually results in him making out with sparrow.

When it comes to hunters flirting with them… violence is always an option there. He doesn’t fuck around he’ll knock out their teeth. He’ll twist their arms and break them. After that he’ll go to check on sparrow to see if they’re okay and give them a forehead kiss as if nothing happened.

K-Kissing, how do they kiss, what was their first kiss like, how often do they kiss?

Sparrow kisses either really sweetly, very fluffy you know like a quick peck here and there making the other feel very loved. Like whatever barn owls do to their lover. This is either on the lips, the cheek, or all over the face. Though they’re not afraid to kiss him on the neck or all over. They’ll get more passionate depending on their mood and maybe use tongue. They’re a surprisingly good kisser despite not having any experience.

Hiccup will usually give them a kiss on the forehead or lips when he’s in a good mood. His kisses aren’t as common as sparrows.  He usually pulls them in by the waist and kisses them. He likes embraces. A lot like in HTTYD 2.

Their first kiss was probably a in the moment thing. I imagine they were falling through the sky after hiccups failed inventions and sparrow dives in after him, wraps him in their cloak as they laugh just before toothless snatches them, where sparrow kisses hiccup instinctually, and he leans into it holding them tighter while toothless warbles and flaxen stares kinda like “Awh young love.”.

L-Love?

They love eachother so much oh my gods- like if their souls could intertwine they would.

When sparrow realized they loved him it was long before hiccup realized he loved them too. They were scared and afraid. They didn’t like this new feeling but they liked it at the same time. They decided that they’d give him everything without ever telling him, because they didn’t think he’d reciprocate, they don’t think they deserve love, at least not his, so the next best thing is giving him the world.

Hiccup didn’t realize for so fucking long. After the bounty episode he lost his mind to the point of obsession, he thought it was a matter of interest. Simply “oh I just think they’re really mysterious and interesting and maybe if I can scower the world I can find them and bring them back and figure out what their deal is.” It wasn’t just obsession it was love. And pretty much everyone else had to point it out. Even viggo did this at some point. He doesn’t accept it until he finally actually gets to interact with sparrow regularly. 

Hiccup wants to help sparrow, make them feel worthy of love and stop the killing so they can carry less guilt and then try to help them through the guilt so that they can love and accept themselves. And sparrow wants to protect Hiccup and give him everything he needs so that he can’t end up like them.

M-meeting?

The first meeting technically is just after HTTYD 1 where sparrow is disguised as a traveler. Light blue skirt, white top, dusty blue pants, and no eye markings or circlet, they look surprisingly different. And they just take their sword to hiccup to get it fixed and they kinda hit it off despite him being awkward and flustered. Especially right after everyone hating him and avoiding him. They thought he was interesting and he thought they were admirable to say the least and in return for fixing their sword, along with the runes they owed him they gave him a little night fury plush that could fit in the palm of your hand. It’s easy to say he was excitatic. 

In the earthly stages of their regular meeting sparrow is a little avoidant of him cause they don’t think hiccup likes them at all. Like they think “he’s a pacifist and I’ve killed countless hunters and I mean sure I had my reasons and I do feel guilty but even if I voice that would he even forgive me? I’m surprised he hasn’t even yelled at me yet or done anything to express anger or disappointment towards me. Both of those thoughts scare me and I don’t know which one is worse.” And well yes hiccup doesn’t like that they kill, however he does kinda understand where they’re coming from. Viggo tortured them and they don’t have any idea of their life before the torture all that much other than valka (but he doesn’t know about that part until HTTYD 2) and they obviously don’t like killing I mean every time someone brings it up they try to act proud and excited but he can see the guilt and fear behind their eyes.

N-Nights, do they spend the night together? How does that go? 

They started sleeping in the same bed after they both got kidnapped by Viggo and had to huddle next to each other to keep warm. With sparrow wrapping their bodies around their cloak, and hiccup putting sparrows head on his chest they slept well that night. Especially for being kidnapped.

Once they got out of there sparrow asked him if they could do that almost every night, and hiccup agreed.

Usually it’s sparrows arms and legs around hiccup and hiccups head on their chest but on rare occasions hiccup will hold them in front of him with sparrow sitting on his lap and the back of their head on his chest.

O-open? How open are they about their feelings with their partner?

Sparrow is really closed off though because sparrow and hiccup think similarly hiccup easily recongnizes what they’re feeling and can dismantle their spiraling self doubt and make them feel heard and loved

Hiccup has a harder time standing up for himself and doesn’t really talk about how he feels when people belittle him so sparrow stands up for him and makes him feel cherished. Hiccup talks about his feelings with sparrow a lot, he really does trust them with his emotions especially when it comes to his actions in battle. He trusts them to understand him and care for him. Sometimes he wishes he had met them sooner.

P-pet names?

Sparrow @ hiccup: my love, my baby, emerald eyes, my night, m’lord, hiccup (said lovingly), mine, the silly, Hickey (you heard me), cup

Hiccup & sparrow: my love, m’lady, baby, lapis eyes, my sky, mine, little bird, my angel, godex, arrow, little light, comet, Assassin

Q- quote? Like a quote for their relationship? (Either one they say to each other or one that fits their relationship)

R-Rise? what’s their mornings like?

They wake up around the same time and just rest in each others arms for about an hour and if there’s no interruptions they’ll stay there until noon. Giving each other the occasional peck, little careless whispers, and drawing circles on each others backs. Things could delve into a make out session (or more) but it’s usually just pure love. They don’t ever lust without love. They just don’t believe in list without love. (They’re so fluffy I’m gonna die)

S-Spooning

Sparrow is usually a big spoon and hiccup is usually the little spoon though it really depends on the day.

T-top or bottom? (This could be sexually or not.  Depends on target audience)

They’re both switches. Like one day sparrow is flirting with hiccup and making him flustered and giving him kisses on his collar bone and the next he’s putting them against the wall while making out with them.

U-universe? Do they work in every universe?

They’re doomed in a lot of their universes, though they could work if sparrow just actually fucking said something about it. 

The universes they’re most likely to work in is the banished au. For either of them. Villain hiccup is just sparrow but more violent and cynical. And sparrow getting banished to berk just gives hiccup a friend/ lover early on. Or maybe the modern au. 

V-Violence? Do they get violent for their partner

Sparrow does absolutely. They’ll kill if they must. Though this violence only really goes to those who pose a threat they won’t attack random people on the street. Even if it was snotlout being weird (towards them not hiccup) the most they would do is knock him out.

Hiccup doesn’t until Drago and Grimmel show up, once he finds out about all the threats towards the both of them he does get more violent not usually enough to kill though. Especially because sparrow won’t let him kill.

W-warmth? Who’s warmer who’s colder?

Sparrow has a really warm torso but really cold cheeks, hands, feet, and nose.

Hiccup is really warm all around except his nose is cold. (wonder why that is) 

X-xtra things

-sparrow (in the canon universe where they don’t end up together) whenever they see Banshee (the light fury )and toothless together they just think of what could’ve been and it hurts so bad

-when they get married sparrow brings Roman wine from their moms side and it’s hiccups first time having wine. Turns out he really likes it and he does get a bit drunk but sparrow thinks he’s cute when he’s a little drunk though obviously before bed they help him get sober again. 

-they do have three kids and they all parallel dart, ruffrunner and pouncer. (Why? Because I said so)

Y- yearning

The yearning goes so hard, it hurts so much, like for sparrow hiccup is a daily thought they want him so bad, even a single mention of him or hearing his voice makes their heart hurt. For hiccup any clue to who they are makes his heart race and most things remind him of them, like the stars, the fog, the color light blue, bow and arrows, the odyssey, sparrow birds, lanterns. He sees them everywhere.

Z- Zone. How is their overall vibe together? (Like just sum up the relationship in a sentence)
