The student: Through this I want to capture the life of a student, a worker, and in general, capture the struggle of someone just moving out into their own life, separated from all assistance and having to rely on themselves for any sort of support. With this I would capture in dim lighting, getting natural moments of frustration or irritation, yet amping them up in order to make them seem more dramatized and to get the point of difficulties across even farther. This would be done through staging most of the back ground, piling up homework, bills, or work tasks and making it a sort of overwhelming sensation for both the viewer and for the subject itself. 

The University of Arizona is known for its sustainability program. Although not every UA student or Tucson citizen is in the program, UA shows its effort in the sustainable field to the public by designing the campus environment in an ecofriendly way. Since Arizona is known for its sunlight, one of the strategies that the university uses to be sustainable is designing the buildings to cooperate with the solar energy. Many sustainable buildings have installed solar panels on them. Some of the buildings are designed to actively interact with the sun; for example, the buildings only allow needed sunlight into the building and eliminate excessive heat from the sun at the same time. This book also records other sustainable features that a UA student can notice when they walk around the campus, like the design of recycle bins, public transportation, bike roads and the widely installation of solar panels.

The third proposal that I would do is the adventure of the campus. In order to get photos for this project, I went to many weird spot on the camps, like trying to get close to many roofs of the buildings. I think I will never go there if I did not take this class. Therefore, this book also serves like a diary of my adventure on the campus.

For the second proposal, I would focus on the interaction between nature and buildings. I would put the attention on not only the landscape around the architectures, but also how the buildings are being ecofriendly to this place. Therefore, I will put more photos that capture the sustainable features of buildings. With this concept, I would also put some public transportation inside to show how the campus is achieving the goal of sustainability overall.

The first proposal that I would do is transportation because I have many pictures that related to the bike; for example the bikes themselves, the bike lane, and the tunnel. I also took pictures about other public transportation, like sun link and sun train. I want to use these transportation related pictures to connect some buildings on campus in order to show the flow and movement of the campus.

My final project "In Use" is a complilation of pictures that represent body parts of the human anatomy, I wanted to create something that was artistic yet potrayed medical-related information, the photos are in negative and ar shown in black and white to conform to that sterile medical feel, In body the entire book is laid out to look like a body, the title "In Use" is to show what body part is being shown in the book, ultamiltelly although each section tells which part is which this piece allows the viewer to decide for themselves what each picture looks like/represents

The red brick is such a rich color and a significant representation of the desert. Brick can be laid in a variety of ways to give it a different design. To showcase the different ways bricks are presented on this campus would show the diversity yet unison we have here at the University of Arizona. 

in Colors is an exploration of color, because color does so much more than make things visually appealing. it has the potential to emphasize as well as detracts. it can unify forms and it can break them apart. for my book, however, i chose to focus on the unifying & emphasizing role that colors can take on. i tried to capture “plain” scenes that are often overlooked by all of us as we go on with our busy lives. i took photos of plants, benches, doors, and other normal things that surround us & make up the environments we inhabit. i focused on the things that were surround by more monochromatically colored objects in order to show the ability color has to emphasize and underscore. against these plainer objects, the subject with the brighter color truly stands out. i accompanied these photos with quotes i found on the internet regarding color. quotes like “To me, color is like the finishing touch on everything” by Marc Jacobs express the great deal of importance that many people have for color. ultimately, my book is about showing that color plays more than just one role at any given time in our frame of vision, and i hope that those who look at it walk away with a new appreciation for color and perhaps a new perspective on it as well.
