fluffy sick sungjin and soyong:)
this is pretty short but I hope you still like it<3
characters: Sungjin and Soyong warnings: general sickness and dizziness
Nothing else matters
“Jin?” Sungjin sighed. This was the third time Soyong had called him since he’d started making dinner twenty minutes ago.
The pair had had a rough couple of days. As a teacher, Sungjin was always at danger to catch any type of sickness floating around at school. Five days ago, he’d come home with a pounding headache, stuffed sinuses and an awful mood. The only thing he was looking forward to was getting doted on by his lovely boyfriend. That worked out for about twelve hours.
The next morning Soyong woke up sweating and nauseous and a quick check confirmed he had a pretty nasty fever, too. So the two of them tried their best to take care of each other while both of them recovered from the flu.
It’s been a couple of days now and the two were finally on the mend. Sungjin however was still dealing with god-awful body aches that practically had him chained to the couch. His boyfriend had woken up feeling lots better, so he swiftly decided to prepare the first proper meal the pair had in a week.
Unfortunately, Soyong had majorly overestimated his body’s condition and quickly found himself dizzy enough to be swaying on his feet, when trying to get a bowl from the top shelf.
Sungjin dragged himself into the kitchen, his joints screaming at him as he got up. He found his boyfriend leaning heavily onto the counter, head tilted back and taking deep breaths. He walked up to Soyong and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend’s stomach who immediately put his head onto Sungjin’s chest in return.
“Can you get the salad bowl from the shelf, please?” Soyong panted, still fighting the wooziness that came with his unrelenting fever.
“I don’t think cooking was a good idea, huh?” Jin mumbled into his partner’s shoulder, deeply breathing in his all too familiar scent. To Sungjin, there was nothing more comforting.
Soyong smiled sadly. “No, I guess it wasn’t.”
“Then how about we put all of this back in the fridge, go back to cuddling on the couch and then we’ll order some pizza?”
As much as Soyong was disappointed in himself for not finishing what he had started, Sungjin’s suggestion sounded heavenly right now. So, he just nodded and let his boyfriend lead him over to the couch.
The pair all but collapsed into the cushions. Sungjin was laying on his back and pulled Soyong onto chest, instinctively feeling the back of his neck. As expected, he was warm but fortunately nothing compared to the last couple of days.
“You should take some Tylenol for that fever, baby.” He didn’t get an answer from his boyfriend but he hadn’t expected one either way. Soyong was responsible when it came to his health so he’d probably already taken some Tylenol anyway.
“Hey, what kind of pizza do you want?” Once again, silence. This however was a question that kind of required an answer, so Sungjin tried again.
“Baby? Do you want pepperoni pizza?” When he received no answer for the third time, Sungjin took a closer look at his boyfriend. He had to crane his neck quite a bit to get a look at Soyong’s face, and he couldn’t help but smile when he realized what was going on.
He’d fallen asleep. In those few minutes they’d been on the couch, Soyong had actually managed to fall asleep. Sungjin wasn’t mad though. His boyfriend clearly needed it.
The pizza could wait. For now, Sungjin was more than happy to simply listen to his boyfriend’s rhythmic breathing as he slept off his fever.
Nothing else mattered in that moment. Not the fact that Soyong was starting to drool on him and not even the fact, that his back was screaming bloody murder. All the mattered was Soyong getting better so Sungjin would continue to hold him like this – forever, if necessary.
I'm still in mourning.
1. Bong Hwan's life is pitch black now.
2. The prince will only know about So Bong only when he reads the prenatal journal.
3. How tragic is Cheoljong's love story. Was duped by Hwa Jin. Fell in love. Met So Bong. Fell madly in love. Left with So Yong. Still in love with the same face, but different soul. CheolBong's love story ended when both were half dead due to being shot.
Rest in peace my beloved power couple.
im watching mr queen and every time kim byeong-in shows up i think of this quote
“the hero will sacrifice you to save the world but the villain will sacrifice the world to save you”
like this man would do ANYTHING for her even if she won’t choose him
mr. queen is confusing me tho because the character I'm attached to is SOBONG not necessarily bonghwan and not necessarily soyong, but the combination of the two characters if that makes sense? Like, bonghwans character in soyongs body is what I essentially associate mr. queen with so it's hard for me to separate the two and I wish the show did a better job with that fact.

I've started watching Mr. Queen and I just can't stop. This is definitely a breath of fresh air in the historical drama genre.
Please, enjoy my little baby :D
Moving sucks
characters: Sungjin and Soyong warnings: fainting, emeto, hospitals (once again sounds worse than it is)
note 1: Sungjin has a heart condition, which has lead him to pass out on several occasions.
note 2: everything in italic are Sungjin's thoughts
Soyong sighed. “Where is it?”
“Okay what the fuck is it this time?” Sungjin snapped at his boyfriend.
It really wasn’t his fault. Moving was always stressful and Soyong had sighed about 20 times in the last five minutes because he was looking for something, and Sungjin was sick of it. And on top of that the dull ache in his head Sungjin had woken up with was getting worse by the second and he really only wanted to get this whole moving-thing over with.
“Stop being annoyed, will you? You promised you’d be nice today. It’s bad enough you yelled at Naoko earlier – even though him and Sevan where nice enough to help us move in today. You’re lucky he doesn’t take your moods too seriously.”
“This is not a mood! Moving is stressful so I’m allowed to be stressed!” Sungjin defended.
Soyong rolled his eyes in annoyance. “Yes, you’re allowed to be stressed, cause so am I – but you’re not allowed to be a dick!”
“How am I being a dick? I’m the only one carrying shit, if you haven’t noticed.”
“Excuse me? Don’t act like you’re the only one working!” Soyong raised his voice slightly, making it obvious to his boyfriend that he was serious. “You wanted to carry the heavy boxes! If that was a problem for you, you should’ve told me! We wouldn’t be having these fights if you’d just try to actually communicate with me every once in a while!”
“Communicate? Maybe if you’d just stop talking every now and then, I could try to!”
That was a low blow and Sungjin knew it. If there was one thing Soyong was insecure about, it was his personality. Specifically the fact, that people often found him annoying because he liked to talk.
Soyong was obviously hurt and now even more irritated.
“God, you are such a – ugh – forget it, I need a break.” Soyong threw his arms up in defeat and promptly left through the front door of their new apartment.
Sungjin sighed. Great. He’d already pissed off his boyfriend and they weren’t even fully moved in yet. Way to go champ.
He knew he’d have to apologize. He would. Definitely. Right after this god-awful wave of dizziness passed. But it wasn’t passing. Why wasn’t it passing?
And suddenly he was feeling hot all over. Too hot. Fanning himself, Sungjin decided to take his hoodie off.
And that’s when things really started to go downhill.
As soon as he pulled the fabric over his face, a wave of vertigo crashed over him. What in the world was going on?
The floor was coming closer. Okay, now that was just ridiculous. There was no way the floor was coming closer.
Ouch. What the hell? Oh – he was on the floor now. And it wasn’t even that hard. Actually quite comfortable. Maybe he’d just take a nap right here. Yep, a nap sounded heavenly right now, his eyes were so damn heavy. Closing them for a few minutes wouldn’t hurt, right?
“You know wha-“ Soyong paused mid-word as he saw his boyfriend on the floor, limbs sprawled out awkwardly. “Baby?”
What was that? He knew that voice from somewhere. Although he could barely hear it over the cotton in his ears.
“Baby, open your eyes, please.”
Now that was just rude. Someone was shaking him. Why were they shaking him?
Sungjin slowly blinked his eyes open to look at his offender. Deep brown eyes were looking down at him and they looked- worried? Who was that and why were they worried? And why the hell was he on the floor again?
God, if he just weren’t so dizzy, maybe he could remember.
Soyong was positively freaking out. He had actually come back to give Sungjin a piece of his mind, and he’d definitely not expected to find his boyfriend lying in the floor, barely conscious.
He sat in front of Sungjin, putting the taller man’s legs onto his shoulders so they were elevated. His boyfriend wasn’t entirely passed out, but Soyong could see that he was close.
“Baby, keep your eyes open, please. You’ll feel better in a second just give your body some time.” Soyong spoke, hoping his boyfriend could hear and actually understand what he was saying.
Sungjin groaned and took his hands up to cover his face. God, why the hell was it so bright?
“I’ll close the blinds in a second babe, but I need to make sure you don’t pass out as soon as I leave.” Soyong spoke calmly, as he rubbed circles with his thumb on Sungjin’s thigh, hoping to provide some comfort.
Oh, he hadn’t realized he’d said that out loud.
The cotton in his ears was slowly fading, along with the blurriness in his vision. Now that he was coming back to, however, the pain in his skull seemed to have intensified tenfold.
Sungjin looked around confusedly. Oh right. He got awfully hot and dizzy and now he was on the floor, his boyfriend looking down at him worriedly. He must’ve blacked out. Wow, that hadn’t happened in a while.
Suddenly he became all too aware of just how bright the damn sun was. A new feeling settled heavily in the pit of his stomach. Nausea. “God, baby. Please close the blinds, it’s too bright, I can’t-“ He was cut off by a powerful retch. White hot pain exploded behind his eyes making Sungjin yelp.
Soyong set his boyfriends legs down and quickly went to close the blinds. Another retch followed by a pained groan and a splashing sound made the purple-haired man spin around. Surely enough, his boyfriend had just lost his lunch all over their new living room floor.
Sungjin was still heaving when he felt a gentle hand rubbing up and down his spine. However, he hadn’t forgotten what happened earlier. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay, the floor can be cleaned, don’t worry.” Soyong answered as sweet as ever.
“That’s not what I meant.” Sungjin straightened up slightly, determined to look his boyfriend in the eyes. “I’m sorry about before. I was being a dick and you didn’t deserve that.”
Soyong’s eyes widened. How could he possibly care about that right now? “It’s fine. I know how you can get, and I love you regardless. But my point stands: communication is key and you kinda suck at it. If you would’ve told me, you didn’t feel well, maybe this entire thing could’ve been prevented.”
Sungjin knew his boyfriend meant what he said but his tone was gentle and loving. Jin felt save with him and he’d never stop being grateful for that. “Yes, I know. I’ll try to be better; I promise.”
Soyong smiled. “I know you will. And by the way, this wasn’t caused by your heart, was it? ‘Cause your pulse is fast but it’s not that fast.” He spoke, leading the conversation back to the more urgent topic of his boyfriend almost passing out.
“Uhm no, I don’t think so. It felt different – I don’t know what it was.” Another wave of pain shot through Sungjin’s skull, and he moaned as he desperately clutched at his temples. “My head is killing me.” He whispered pitifully.
Soyong lowered his voice accordingly as he spoke. “Okay, we’re going to the hospital. I’m not taking any chances.”
Sungjin threw up once more in the car, groaning in pain with every heave. Soyong bit his lip in worry.
At the hospital, Naoko, who had just started his shift, immediately went over to the pair, confused as to what had happened. Soyong explained the situation and Sungjin was taken away rather quickly.
Luckily, it turned out that nothing was seriously wrong with the brunette. He was apparently dealing with a bad migraine and the stress of moving and their earlier fight had really taken their toll on his body. Both Soyong and Naoko were more than relieved to hear that he’d have to stay the night for monitoring but could be taken home in the morning.
Now Soyong was sitting in a chair next to the sleeping form of his boyfriend – the heart monitor beeping steadily (Soyong would say ‘annoyingly’) in the background. He sighed to himself as he decided that next time, they’d hire a moving company. He was never going to do this shit again.
