obviously the no-homoing of Mr Queen is atrocious and the last episode pains me immensely BUT you can't deny that the implications are hilarious.
In order to make our totally straight MC have sex with the king, he hallucinates his girl BBF/crush the entire time and given that they're having the kind of sex that gets our MC pregnant and MC apparently has no idea when he wakes up that he had sex with a dude....I'm not saying our boi's getting pegged in modern Korea. The narrative is.
About the ending of Mr. Queen, what really pissed me off was the fact that Bong Hwan lost everything he worked hard for, not just his loved one. The revolution only worked because HE risked everything to stand by the King's side and oppose a whole currupt system. All of that just to be ripped off of the benefits promoted in their kingdom.
It's. So. Unfair!
If I were the one who worked my ass off and put my head on the line so many times just to be pushed aside at the last minute when things were just starting to get better i would be so fUCKING PISSED!!!
Like, HELL NO BITCH!!
I DID NOT SAVE THIS MAN AND THIS KINGDOM JUST FOR YOU TO HAVE THE GLORY AT MY EXPENSE!!
mr queen cheolbong fans if you're still out there give me a sign...
Summary: Six months into her pregnancy, the Queen suddenly becomes obsessed with following the pre-natal care handbook to the letter. The King is understandably concerned.

Mr. Queen Incorrect Quotes.
Bong-hwan: You know my motto: carpe diem, carpe noctem, carpe coles.
Cheoljong: Seize the day, seize the night, what’s the last one?
Bong-hwan: Seize the dick.
( Cheoljong’s instantly adding that to his book )
Bong-hwan: BE A BETTER PERSON!
Cheoljong: WHY?!
Bong-hwan: BECAUSE SOMEONE NEEDS TO HAVE MORALS IN THIS RELATIONSHIP, AND IT SURE AS FUCK AIN'T GONNA BE ME, SWEETHEART!
( Cheoljong and Bong-hwan meeting in the future like. )
Cheoljong: I want to be with you for the rest of my life.
Bong-hwan: Damn, that sounds like a marriage proposal.
Cheoljong, getting down on one knee: That's 'cause it is.
Cheoljong: So... what’s goin’ on?
Bong-hwan: You want the long version or the short version?
Cheoljong, hesitantly: The short one, I guess?
Bong-hwan: Shit’s fucked.
Cheoljong: Oh. Well, yeah, that’s definitely not an optimal situation.
( cue Lady Choi stressing in the background )

"Mr. Queen has a happy ending" yeah right 😭😭😭😭
I JUST FINISHED MR QUEEN
I know I'm late like so late bc this drama is like 4 years ago
BUT it's so fucking great. I love it. I love the personality each character has (special mention Kim Hwan he's sooo cute) I love the concept I love the actors.
I have a problem with the ending tho.
At first, I thought it was just me projecting into Jang Bong Hwan in Kim Soyong's body, that I just generally prefer Cheolbong as a bisexual trans men BUT
hear me out. This might be a bit biased, but just hear me out.
Wrong things regarding the ending in my opinion is:
First of all, it's clear that Kim Soyong no longer has the will to live. She committed suicide. Thus it really confuses me when she just backs right on track again with absolutely no sign of being affected at all.
Second, I think it has been made clear that Cheoljong isn't at all interested in Kim Soyong before she committed suicide. He literally is in love with her after Jang Bong Hwan invades her body. This implies that Cheoljong loves the Jang Bong Hwan bits of personality among Kim Soyong's. I think it's cruel for the ending to just take out the part Cheoljong loves the most, even though Kim Soyong showed signs of rudity unlike before, she can never replicate the Jang Bong Hwan part Cheoljong loves. And if she had to replicate a part of herself in order to get Cheoljong to love her as much as he loves Jang Bong Hwan, I don't think it's fair for her either. After all, she committed suicide because she felt like she was living a lie, that her dream was a lie.
Third, after all he's been through, I think it's not fair that the only scene we get from Jang Bong Hwan was him being glad that Cheoljong survives. This disregards everything he has been feeling from the very start of the transmigration. This disregard also implies that every feeling Jang Bong Hwan feels were caused by hormones, which at the end implies that women are the only one in the place who was driven by emotion and whose judgment can be clouded by feelings.
Fourth, it's not fair for Cheoljong either because at the end he never knew that the person he is in love with isn't just one person. It's not fair to leave him out of this. He deserves to know too.
I think I can list more unfair things about the ending that involves more people like Royal Cook or lady in waiting Choi. But, this post is only about those three. Jang Bong Hwan, Kim Soyong, and Cheoljong. Those three deserve better.
As long as I’m on your side, you’re bound to win.
